[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased my computer for my doctoral program. I have an external drive and have been able to do all my work. I enjoy the laptop and thing it was worth the cost. There is a hum just as others have stated in their reviews, but have never had it over heat or malfunction. I use a board under my laptop to prevent overheating and always put it up when I'm done. I shut it down and turn back on when needed. Thank you HP for a great laptop.
