My Omen 17t is pretty pog, ngl. It's fast, powerful, and can handle more or less whatever I throw at it. I don't do any content creation, but gaming on this computer is awesome, especially considering that its a laptop. It gets a bit hot while gaming of course, but I just use a cooling pad and it works great. It has a ton of performance options as well that allows for a wide variety of optimization adjustments that are all user friendly. It might be a little pricey but if you've got the funds to spare and don't already have a decent desktop it's definitely worth it.

The performance is great but the battery life is disappointing; the power adaptor is huge and heavy and they did not show it when I ordered my laptop; to me it is like a hidden feature; the laptop itself is already heavy and if you put it on your lap it will hurt after 10 min; so forget about carrying it along with the adaptor on a trip; it looks like you carrying a mini desktop; and the last the camera quality is also bad.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Incredible! This laptop is everything I was looking for and more. The i7 paired with an RTX 3060 is a powerful combination being able to run every game thrown at it at 1080p (at least) 60 FPS at a high fidelity. While the power supply is definitely on the large side, don't let it detract from what is certainly shaped up to be a desktop replacement.

OMEN 17 - Great Overall High-Performance Computer

I am using this laptop to replace a high-performance desktop unit and it is meeting almost all of my expectations with only two concerns. First, the battery charger is so large (330 W) that its 120 V plug causes a significant arc flash when plugging into an outlet. Purchasing a smaller charger for typical average use might be a good idea to address this and for being physically smaller for portability.
Second, the current BIOS does not have the very common feature to manually set a reduced maximum battery charge limit (like 50% - 80%) when plugged in continuously, to improve battery life. This is a Major Problem that HP Must Address in their next BIOS revision to be competitive!
