Sleek, reasonably quiet, and it works

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My wife and I love the back stainless steel finish on this dishwasher. Operation of the hidden controls is easy. Holds a lot. The bottom rack tends to bump when you pull it out or push it back in, but it's not a big deal. It's something about the alignment of the cover when you have it open.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a nice looking black stainless steel dishwasher. It is basic with plastic insides as this is the only model that would fit our area. It has all the basics covered. It is about as quiet as you can expect a dishwasher to be and much quieter than our older one. The 2 trays do seem a little on the cheap side and the door really likes to spring shut. The controls are a little touchy and if you don't close the door in time, the cycle does not start. We do really like the delay timer to start the cycle so we do not forget to start it before we go to bed and then the dishes are clean in the morning and we do not hear a thing. Overall it does a nice job of cleaning the dishes and enough features for what we need.

Sleek design with powerful clean

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been so happy with this new unit! Our previous GE unit struggle to clean and dry without us having to rinse everything that went into it beforehand. This unit has two separate cleaning engines so each level of the dishwasher is getting the same level of power to clean things off with minimal rinsing needed. I also love all the different configurations we can make. The racks have different folding capabilities that allow us to put in larger dishes/pots nicely or if we want to put bowls on the top shelf vs. the bottom, we can do that too. I also like that the silverware holder is movable. We have a lot of sports bottles that are too large to go on the top shelf, so being able to move that silverware rack around gives us the ability to use that space to the side of that rack.
The different settings are pretty straightforward. I do like the hidden buttons, which I feel give it a more clean display when it's closed. I absolutely LOVE the different lights that illuminate on the floor to let us know when it's dirty or clean, but the clean light will go away if you remove one clean dish and close the door again without unloading the whole thing. My only complaint is that we haven't been able to find a dry setting that truly gets all the dishes dry. We may figure that out eventually, but for now, that is my only complaint.

The Strong and Silent Type

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This dishwasher does exactly what I want it to, clean my dishes and bakeware without letting me know it's doing anything. The rotating spray disk on the washer arms is certainly not a gimmick, it cleans the dishes faster and more thoroughly. The normal cycle is faster (including drying) than the quick cycle was on my old washer (GE). I also appreciate the low-key status light that shines on the floor to tell you if it is mid-cycle (blue) or complete (green), this was a nice touch I was not expecting.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a little disappointed in the interior of the dishwasher. Cheap plastic!!!!!! I don't feel it's a very high quality appliance and am wishing I would have chosen something else. It's also dark black in there and difficult to see inside the unit. I do not like the set up of loading dishes in it. The way the dishes are sitting in it seems like it will either waste a whole lot of space or be so on top of each other that they will not get cleaned thoroughly.

Better choices out there

We selected the “upgrade” option from the builder of our new house which included this Frigidaire dishwasher. Compared to the Kitchenaid dishwasher in our old home and the Samsung we have in our condominium, the Fridgidare comes in as a distant third. Aside from the fact that it doesn’t get the dishes completely dry, the gap between the door and the interior creates a valley that catches the wheels on the bottom dish rack when pulling out the rack to load and unload dishes. Just plain annoying. On the plus side, we like the green and blue lights that signal when the dishwasher is on or off.

Electronics are odd and not user friendly -- for example, you must close the door unnaturally quickly or the cycle aborts. This is particularly troublesome if someone opens after the cycle has started and then takes 2 seconds to close the door, (or forgets to press 'start' again ) because the cycle then aborts and there is no 'drain' only choice to get the water out and setup a new cycle. surprisingly poorly thought out !

Wonderful appliance!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] WE bought this dishwasher because our old on finally gave out after 30 years. It was an older Frigidaire that came with our home when we bought it. Since it lasted so long we wanted to stick with the same brand. This dishwasher was everything we were looking for and then some. With arms at the top and bottom to reach all the dishes AND adding on the circles to help get every angle on the dishes?! That's more than a win win, that's a GOLD MEDAL! On top of that the affordability of the appliance was amazing! We are extreme budgeters and this fit well into our budget. We absolutely love this dishwasher and everything about it. It has hardly made a dent in our water or electric bill and was an awesome choice. I hope it lasts as long or longer than our other dishwasher. We will always choose Frigidaire!
