mobil app is crap

can't get anything on the camera's using the mobil app , only get push notifications through mobil data , got in contact with tech dept and got told too much data going through and got told this can not be adjusted with the software on these camera's . So the system is good for nothing
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Only compatible with Internet Explorer which is EOL. User interface is cumbersome. Some features hard to setup. Customer support not very helpful.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

No control over settings

I had purchased NVR 8580. Easy to install, but manual didn't go NVR box couldn't change most of the settings eg (motion detection setup, privacy mask, sensitivity). If the holes in roof weren't all ready done. I would return this product.

The 1080p has better people and vehicle playback.

When reviewing search mode people and vehicle are so pixelated you cannot make out any details. The audio is very choppy and you can only review three cameras at a time in search mode. I have seven cameras so I have to watch three then the next three and then the last one so I'm taking a lot of time to review in search mode. I do have it in continuous recording because it does not detect all movement. This is model NVR8-8580RN. Installation is easy and if there's nothing moving you can see it fairly clear. You cannot pick up fine details such as car tags as stated. My monitor is a 4K monitor so it's compatible with the 4K NVR.

Based on the information provided, you may need to adjust the frame rate on your recorder to help get a better image. The application also has 3 different settings for streaming quality; low, medium and high. If you are having problems streaming you can lower the settings and test to see if it improves. Note that lowering the stream settings does not affect the quality of the recordings. If you have very fast upload speeds you can set your camera to high, but if your upload speed is not that good then we recommend you use medium or low for the streaming setting. If you have not already, please reach out to a member of our support team when you are in front of the device.

Great! NVR8-8580

I've had this system for a couple of years and couldn't be happier. This easy to install but it did take some time to setup the camera's and configure the software. I haven't had any issues with the dvr, one camera stopped recording but after messing with the settings started working, we'll see. I did setup the cameras for lights motion, so the lights go on if motion is sensed. Works great! Other then that it's worked out great for me as it serves its purpose.

False notification a big concern

Love the nvr 8580 security cameras but my concerns are and continues to be the false notification being sent to our phones. I have set the front cameras to 1 min. Adjusted the red digital squares to the areas I want to monitor. But I continue to get false notifications. Yes it Can be a busy street of cars passing by but if I mapped the area with the red squares to monitor. What else needs adjusted. The back yard works great and only picks up if someone is present should have come with a DVD to help explain the more advanced settings.
