1st off the 4k video is excellent and installation easy enough for your average man. The app is easyish to use for remote viewing and you soon get used to it. A great downfall is the random cut out disconnection to the system for remote viewing which happens every now and so. The next issue is watching back recordings via the app can't be done instantly, you have to wait around 30 minutes for the video footage prior to be available as it catches up (viewing live no problem). So if you want to watch back a movement notification from 5 minutes ago, you cant, you have to wait until it's ready. My biggest gripe is the sound quality. It's none existent! Stood next to the camera you can barely make out the muffle of what someone is saying, never mind when the camera is mounted 10ft high. The problem is it's just static noise over what's being recorded. Imagine listening to an out of tune fm radio... what's worse is of you take a clip recording via the app and email it or whatsapp it.... there is just an overwhelming static noise and no actual audi recording at all. So you can't use it for evidence of anyone were to talk on it, though the recording is fine. PITTY
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The remote access feature is a great technology integrated into almost all of our recorder kits. The footage on the application should be immediately available for review. You may have slower upload speeds resulting in delays when playing back footage remotely. We recommend you speak with our Technical Support Team for further assistance.
If you live in an area that experiences high-speed winds, you may experience interference resulting in the background or static noise. Although the audio range in normal conditions is 16ft.
Keep in mind, we offer a 1-year warranty provided a copy of your receipt. You can register for an additional 6 months for free within the first 30 days of your purchase.

Nice product

My system arrived yesterday and aside from having to upgrade my existing wiring, the installation was easy. I upgraded from a 1080 system that helped the police catch and shut down a local idiot (thief). 1080 did the job but this system is much clearer and sees much farther at night than my old system did. Having fun watching my dog from 100 feet away with 5MP now I'm looking forward to adding 4K cameras in critical areas.
Cameras are solid but the NVR could use a stronger base. Mine arrived with a dent in it but the soft metal was easy to straighten out. Everything works so no need to return it. The hard drive would be easily upgraded.
Setting up email function was a bit of a pain with the Google "insecure app" that wouldn't let email through even with the insecure toggle selected, but I eventually got it going.
Having fun exploring the features.

The system, when it is working, has great picture and sound. There are a few concerns though. It appears that the audio clamps down on certain frequencies. My wife and neighbors heard three Gun Shots in the front of my house. The front door camera didn’t record the sound. The rear door camera did record the attenuated sound of gun fire. Another concern, the cameras or NVR, Stop recording events for as much as 30 minutes at a time. For example, a neighbor parked his truck and trailer on the side of my house, 30 ft from the camera. The neighbor said that he would be leaving at about 2:30am. The camera didn’t catch the moment when the neighbor walked up to the cab of the truck, didn’t record the sound of the engine warming up and didn’t pick up the movement of the truck and trailer. There was a thirty minute period of time between recordings. One recording the truck and trailer were there, the next recording, they weren’t.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for reaching out to us and providing your feedback. We are sorry to hear about your most recent incident. The audio range for the cameras included in this kit is 16ft. Anything within this range will be picked up by the microphone and should be able to be clearly heard. The same will apply to the range of the PIR sensor which is 32ft. On occasion your subject may fall outside of the range on not detected by the sensor, although this is not common. We would recommend adjusting the settings on the sensitivity of your sensors. Good value, great customer service

We just bought the system last week. It was good value for money and the cameras achieve what we want in addition to her existing security system. We had to call customer service a couple of times, to get some answers to questions we could not find. We think that the product Q&A could be improved. Nevertheless we were very impressed with customer service.

Happy with product

Installed for a week now and the system works fantasticly out of the box. Easy to install (as easy as crawling through the roof can be). very happy with picture quality both night and day. Audio works well. I am now in the process of reading the instruction manual and will now begin fine tuning the system. Live viewing through the mobile app is great. My wife feels safer now because we have the swann system.

Over all, great cost benefit. Image is great, and would give 4 or even 5 but one of the 4 cameras that came in stopped working after only one day of use. Im now trying to claim warranty on it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Perfectly Average!

I bought this system many months ago and its been in constant use since. The instructions are abysmal, they don't inform you of how or why settings need to be in the way they are. I cant fathom them for love nor money. Even Youtube is vague with NVR videos. The 1TB system only records for 6 days and 1 camera keeps dropping out for no known reason each night about 00:15. I dont even use Analytics, as i hate the lines in my playback. I wouldn't recommend the system, its far too complicated for 99.9% of people.
