Overall not bad but striping lately

The printer is quite easy to set up on a network. It does its advertised jobs well. However it has been striping prints lately - a common flaw with dot matrix printers unfortunately. Maybe I can clear it by cleaning the heads but this is usually ink intensive. The print and scan menu options with a MAC are a bit confusing. Overall it's not bad value for money - I'd have given it 3.5 stars if I could, it's getting a longevity benefit of the doubt with 4 stars.

I just installed this today, totally impressed! Set up epson connect email & my wife tested it remotely. She has an iPad, we will test that tonight, nothing to do there because she will be on the home network. The entire setup process was flawless. I love it. If a 70 year old can do it, anyone can.

Excellent printer, fax, and scanner. Does not use a lot of ink as compared to other printers. Only reason I did not rate it Excellent overall is I never have figured out how to take advantage of the two paper trays so that it automatically feeds from the other tray when the main is empty. Also, good support when needed.

I had bought two Brother printers and both failed working within one year. I was fed up and went to purchase another brand. I was advised to purchase a brand who specializes in printers and not TV's or other electronics. So I bought the printer and it has excellent printing quality and easy to set up and use. LOVE IT!!!!! I have no complaints. The WiFi works great.

I needed to replace my workforce 845 and after research I picked the workforce 3540. I was able to install without reading the quick install manual. This printer is fast and the quality of prints excellent. Photos are top notch, clear and color is almost perfect without tweaking. Fax works great and the auto feed scanner u Runs well without jams. Software installed on my iMac with ease and wireless scanning worked without adjusting the settings. This is an excellent all-in-one printer that will serve you well. I highly recommend the 3540.

Ease of Use and Flawless Performance

Purchased the WF-3540 for home use. After a short time to set up the wireless feature, was able to flawlessly perform printing from two computers in the house. Have scanned and sent faxes without a problem and received them in return. The printer quality is without a doubt excellent for the price and very economical on the use of ink. All in all a great buy for the home user!

Excellent all-in-one printer

I have been using the WF-3540 for 4 months, using Mac OS 10.8. The print quality is excellent, the scanner does a great job, and the printer is very stingy with ink. The paper output tray is better than previous Epson models I have used and the photos I have printed on Epson Glossy Photo paper have been of high quality. I like being able to scan multiple page PDF files.
I have only one complaint. I am disappointed that only number 10 envelopes can be printed. I understand number 10 is standard business size, but I use the printer for four-fold cards and am unable to print invitation size envelopes. Adding other size envelopes would be a great option for me.
