This printer has clogging problems of the heads unless you print a minimum of once per week and if you are not going to print weekly you need to pack the ink cartridges away in news paper. Problem is they do not let you know this until after your heads are clogged.

Uses too Much Ink

The life of the ink cartridges is too short and some of them are past the normal shelf life when purchased from your store. I had a problem with the printer claiming there was a paper jam. No paper was found in the machine. I finally cleared this error code by unplugging everything. Now there is a proplem with copy quality. I am ready to give up and go back to the more expensive laser printers.

Inconsistant

I've had this printer over a year. It was easy to setup. Printing and scanning worked great... for awhile. I now have to completely reinstall all the software and drivers every few days to weeks to print wirelessly, and cannot get the scanning to work any more at all. All seems fine, printer is online, able to ping, status page from the physical interface prints, etc., but when a test print or regular job is sent to the device, nothing. The job just errors out after a while. Reinstall and it works for a day or 2.

I bought this printer because I own a small photography business. ALL my pictures come out smudged or lines down the photos. And Now I cant use it to print black and white because I am out of colored ink. I have a full BRAND NEW black ink cartridge in there but because I am out of the colors it refuses to print. I have tried everything at this point to get it to print and it wont. I WILL NOT be buying this brand again.

I have tried for hours to fix the fact that it will
not scan. Almost ready to give up and send
it back. Tried the drivers over and over, the disk,
tried to fix the windows 7 thing. Nothing, at this
point I would not recommend it. With regret..

just bought the WF-3540 printer.
The back envelope slot does not work properly. Once loaded the printer just run the blank envelope through and then print the paper in tray #1.
Could someone please help?

WF-3540 problem

I had 2 of these WF-3540 all in one printers, and after 2 years they both started printing with empty lines thru the sentences . Also thru pictures. Nothing I did would correct this problem.Also some of the printing lines were crooked and blurred.

let down

I had great hope for this printer. I have wanted a printer that could hold two different papers. The WF-3540 either smudges my envelopes or it tears them up. The printer does not remember where the envelopes are. I am constantly resetting my printing preferences. I have found that there are several places where you must reset your preferences. I am not happy.
