Great printer

I have had this printer for about 2 weeks now and love it so far. I wish the setup instructions with it had been a little more clear. It states that you should set up the printer first using a cord. I thought that once I did that, I could just select wifi setup on the printer and it would work but it doesn't. You have to actually put the CD back in the computer and let it run completely back through setup after you select wifi this time.
It wasn't hard to do but it took me a little while to think about trying that versus just thinking it wasn't going to work.
Love that you can set up an email address for the printer and print from anywhere AND that there is an Epson App that allows me to print items directly from my phone.
The quality is also amazing!!

Printer quality and speed are great. The bundled software that came with the unit shut down my Office 2013 software...caused a bit of a panic. This should not have happened nor been included....do better Epson!

Wonderful Printer

We have had this printer for 3 months now and it is a great printer. The functionality and reliability (although we haven't had it for long) are really good. Our last printer was a different brand and although it supposedly had functions that were similar, they didn't always work. It seemed that its software was badly written. The Epson is easy to operate and does exactly what I need it to do. The paper feed is great for faxing, copying, and scanning. No jams yet. I would recommend this printer.

The printer works great, it is quiet and prints really fast. I also like the fast scanning capability with the document feeder. The setup was pretty easy and other than the email, cloud print I have not incurred any issues. Which leads me to the point of the only downside I have incurred is the email and cloud printing setup. I still have not been able to get this completed even after the registration of which I still don't have the email address I am to use for the printer. Os far I am still stumped.

Smooth at last

Finally got a printer that set up for wireless seamlessly, runs fairly quiet, performs. Two months later perfect. One issue: comes with an OCR reader software of a version that crashes many MS Office software causing it to "stop working". Disabling it, not installing it, or updating it works fine; easy if you know about it, maddening if you are trying to figure out what happened to your computer.

It was time for a new printer, and an all-in-one is what I needed. I've always felt that EPSON was #1 when it came to ink jets, and I needed a printer to do high quality photos also. I read the reviews and decided on the 3540.
Set up was easy, and the printer is exceptional as to performance. I've used all it's functions, and none disappoint. Photo quality is great, along with scans. Printing, copying and fax are just the same.
If you are just printing or copying black and white text with no color and little gray scale image, set the unit to "Document-Fast", while this may be the lowest quality, the output is first rate, and the printer spits them out at about 12 ppm, as they advertise.
When I print photos on glossy photo paper, I just put a piece in the top tray on top of the regular copy paper that is there. I have yet to use the rear paper feed.
I can not attest as to how this printer will perform under heavy usage in a business environment, but since I do use it several times a day I figure that for the price there should be no complaints.
I am very impressed with this printer, if you do not know that already!
