I HAVE THE USED THE WF 3540 PRINTER FOR A FEW DAYS AND AS A PRINTER IT SEEMS FINE. WHEN I TRIED TO SCAN A FORM AND USE ORC TO TYPE IN THE BLANKS WITH THE REQUIRED ANSWERS I COULD NOT GET THE ORC TO WORK. I HAD SEVERAL PEOPLE MORE KNOWLEGABLE THAN I , TO TRY TO DO IT ALSO. BUT THEY COULD NOT GET IT TO WORK EITHER. WE DECIDED I MUST BUY A SUPPLEMENTAL SOFTWARE CD TO USE THE ORC, IN ORDER TO USE THE NEW PRINTER TO FILL IN SCANED FORMS, ETC. THE INSTRUCTIONS ARE NOT AT ALL CLEAR ON USEING ORC WITH SCAN. THATS THE BIG FAULT I FOUND SO FAR. IT IS NOT AS FAST AS I EXPECTED, BUT EVERYTHING ELSE HAS BEEN GOOD. I WOULD RECOMMEND IT TO A FRIEND.

failure to communicate with printer

For some reason I get an error message a couple of times a week where my commuter fails to communicate with the printer and I have to reboot the printer and sometimes by computer in order to get the printer to print.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Whole House All-in-One

I have a 3540 at work and it has performed very well. The original reason for purchase was the 2 sided printing capability. The 3540 prints very fast. The added functions of scanning into documents and copying are also a plus. I have now purchased a 3540 for my home. I have several family members now utilizing this single printer over WiFi to print from remote laptops and iPads. The best part is the printer does not need to at specific computer location taking up valuable desk real estate.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Not sure if this scanner does multi feed scanning. Hope so, could not find anything in the directions. Asked sales person for not sure is I got it.

Complex setup

This product is very difficult to set up - not recognized that is connected, does not do wifi like it is suppose to, faxing difficulties. Like the features and the machines design but very frustrating when trying to get it to do what it is advertised to do... would not buy this machine again nor would we recommend it to our associates. Not user friendly in our opinion... we like Epson but not happy with this model...

Good all-in-one except for faxes

Overall, this is a very good all-in-one printer. The print quality is very high in the normal setting, and many other levels of print quality may be selected. The scan and copy features are intuitively easy to use. I like having two large input trays; I keep high quality paper in one and draft quality paper in the other. The two-sided printing feature is also very useful and economical. Of course, like most ink-jet printers, it goes through a lot of expensive ink cartridges. My only complaint is with the fax feature. After I activated the fax feature, some of my incoming phone calls were being interrupted with a fax tone. After many attempts to fix this problem by changing the fax settings, the number of rings on the printer and my answering machine, etc., I finally gave up and disconnected the phone line to the printer. That solved the fax tone problem during phone calls, but means that I must reconnect the phone line to the printer whenever I need to send or receive a fax. Other than that, I'm very pleased with this printer.

I love this printer/copier/fax machine!!! Super easy to setup on a PC & Mac computers. Love the touch screen feature on the printer.
