I was so impressed with how easy it was to connect to the wireless in the home and then to hook it up wireless to my laptop. Easy Easy.

It was easy to set up - even for a grandma like me. Didn't have to call the kids over to set this wireless printer up. It was a breeze. Only tested a few document pages - but they came out perfect and FAST! So Far so good.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I spent a little time looking at other reviews on this printer at online stores and noticed this one had pretty good overall reviews from others. After making my purchase I can see why. I am highly satisfied! Setup was super easy for my Macbook Pro, My other windows machines and even our phones and notepads. The ability to have a custom email address for this printer and simply send emails to that address and watch things printout is pretty amazing. Once again, HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRINTER!

Everything about this printer is wonderful

I have used the printer about 10 days now and come to the following conclusions: fast printing, good auto document feeder, good paper handling, good scanning, and easy set up! What's not to like?
1) printing - print quality is very good, and perfect for home school use. This includes photos, and two sided printing.
2) scanning - set up to scan wirelessly to 2 different laptops. Scanning of photos, documents worked well. Was able to initiate scans from the printer touch screen and the computer. Worked with both the Flatbed and ADF. Also set-up my Evernote, e-mail, Google Drive, Dropbox for scanning. Super convenient!
3) copying - copying is fast and quality is good. Copied single sided to single sided and single sided to double sided using ADF. Copying was fast and flawless. Lid is hinged so that it lifts up over thicker items and can handle books of an inch thickness with no problem.
4) set up - set up for use on 2 notebooks with Windows 8.1. Wireless network set up was simple and straightforward.
5) Printing from my Galaxy SIII is a God-send!
6) no faxing here, so I have no comments on that.
Before i found the 3540, I was hesitating on buying the Work Force 845 for a couple of reasons: 1) the model was a year old, and 2) issues with handling thick paper. Well, the 3540 model is new and in my tests, it handled photo paper through the rear slot and paper tray with no issues.
I whole heatedly recommend this printer.
Don't have a good handle on ink usage yet, but per the reviews I've read it's not too shabby. A bit more expensive than other printers, but in my humble opinion. Worth every penny!

Copying is very slow. Printing is decent. Scanning to email by PDF is great. I have a glitch where even though my printer works I get an error message saying that I'm missing file MSVCR80.dll and suggest I reinstall printer. I did as suggested and error never went away!! When I contacted Epson I was told it was a Windows problem. Checked online and others have same problem so I would think that Epson would address it rather than passing me off.

Will not print 4x6 photos

Of course I waited to try printing a 4x6 photo after the return to retail expired. To my dismay, the printer will start printing about 1/4 or less of the photo and stops and spits out the photo. I wasted 10 sheets of Epson photo paper trying in Win7 Win8 and OSX Mavericks so its not a software issue. Also, making copies leaves a black streak down the left side of the page. Very disappointed in Epson. Now I will have to settle for a refurb. Bad QC Epson.

Windows 8 Office Problem

While loading the WF-3540 software my MS Office crashed. Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point all crashed after loading the Epson/Abby Rider software. Epson needs to fix this problem ASAP!

Great printer

I've had several different brand all-in-one printers and this is the absolute best I've ever had. Paper handling through the printer and scanner is excellent. There may be some slight skewing in the feed of the scanner, but that's made up for in the printer. This is the first printer I've had that could feed a piece of paper into the print path straight. I've had very few double feeds. The duplexing ability in both the scanner and printer is fantastic. Print and scan quality are both very good. This is an excellent purchase if you have the room on your desk and the clearance to lift the scanner lid to scan odd size documents and to change the ink cartridges.
