[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My review may be a bet bias. My past history I've used Acer and Lenovo, so that's pretty much it. There's a reason why I've stuck with Lenovo though. My last Lenovo Laptop was a Lenovo Z560 i5 core processor that lasted me almost 10 years with regular use. I initially got that model because the price point was within my budget for the laptop i needed (I was a poor student at the time). I really liked how it was practical, it had a DVD player/burner, all the ports i could ever asked for (HDMI, multiple USB, speaker & ear plug, SD card slot, bluetooth), and front camera. I love how the buttons/keyboard feels while i'm typing. Hard to explain, the depth, hardness, and spacing of the button just feels natural.
Cons for the Z560 i5 for me was screen brightness (too dim, wouldn't be able to see anything outside) and speaker (very weak/low even at max).
Fast forward, the Z560 finally gave out (but i'm still attempting to fix it, i think it would be a good laptop for my senior mother as a starter). I got the Thinkpad L13 Yoga i5 11th gen 13" and have been using it for a couple weeks now. I really love it! It pretty much has all the ports that i could ask for, except the DVD player/burner (which is outdated, understandable). Lenovo improved on their screen, which they rated as 300 nits and i clearly see the difference. The speaker is MUCH improved, I can hear with clarity at 30-35% volume. I also loved how they added the camera privacy and the keyboard button does feel great typing, just like the Z560!
Before making my purchase for the Thinkpad L13 Yoga i5, I did a LOT of research and compared it with its competitors. I also asked friends about their thoughts and users of other brands. Many did not like HP, Dell, Toshiba. Many recommended MAC, Lenovo, and Acer.
But the Thinkpad L13 won because for one: the price point, two: having numerous ports (always a plus in my book!!), and it had the latest bluetooth and WiFi connectivity. The bonus was the pen/stylus that was included and Lenovo conveniently made a "garage" storage for it that charges the pen while not in use!!! OMG, I think I'm a life-long customer now. I recommend this brand to everyone I speak with.
Yes, MAC airbook is a wonderful laptop(based on many devout Apple users). I've been told they last 13+ years without issues (i.e., lagging, great battery life, etc.). I do currently have an iphone (my first apple purchase), but I think I'm just not comfortable using apple's iOS. After this iPhone dies, i'm switching back to Android....anyways, i'm starting to ramble.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have owned my own landscape construction business for 5 years now. Finding time and space to get all my estimates done after a full day in the field has always been a challenge. Ive been using notebooks for years, taking photos with my phone, the coming home and transferring everything to my desktop. Once everything was in place there, actually getting time to write up estimates was the next challenge. I would find myself in the office until 9-10 at night, or waking up at 4am to do it (but spent most of the time distracted by the small farm of animals that SUDDENLY NEED ALL MY ATTENTION...). Now I have my Yoga with me in the truck, it goes right to the estimate, Im able to take pictures and sketch/take measurements and have it all in one place. Then I am able to take 10 minutes in my truck to get all my numbers together and I can have it put together for the customer before I leave. The amount of time and energy this has saved me is priceless. The multiple cameras make it quick to use, the pen/sketching ability is super responsive and fluid (even though I am not...), the battery life is great, and it feels pretty durable. As someone who has spent their life playing with rocks and not using computers, this could not be any easier to use.
