The grill is relatively easy to assemble- but 2 people needed to install the Pellet Hopper / Burn Pot assembly. PROs Multi-piece grates - allow some flexibility with grilling area New Control Panel - Pretty easy to use/easy to see from distance Temp Probes - Nice addition, 2 included, 4 ports Pre-Sealed Lid - fairly tight fit less smoke leaking Ash Tray - Removable and easy to dump New Burn Pot Heat Shield - Easier to install and remove
CONs Dramatically more expensive $$$.$$ Ash Tray seals not properly installed at factory- tray won't fully seat New Drip Tray is much lighter material than on previous grills Burn Pot Heat Shield is much lighter material than previous ZGrills Auger/Fan much louder than previous ZGrill I own Wi-Fi a little finiky and only compatible with 2.4Ghz Routers Included Cover Could fit a little better Front Shelf should be included for the price
The app seems corrupt. Read reviews of others with the same problems with the wifi. Everything else works well. If you state if has wifi, it should work.
Item came in as expected. Easy assembly by myself with some help from my wife. Break in was great. First meal ribs, potatoes and corn on cob with great result. I should have purchased sooner. Wish I could get extra probes but can't find on web site. Great unit! I recommend it to all.
I've been using an electric smoker for about six years and decided to up grade to a pellet grill. I was leaning towards the Pit Boss brand, as three co-workers had them and didn't have any complaints or problems. One feature that I was definitely looking for was a wifi - Bluetooth controller. Before I ever purchase a big ticket item, I do a lot of research to be sure I get what I want. So for research I searched many sites, and watched many YouTube videos comparing different brands. In doing so I saw a lot of features that the Z Grills had in the Multi Tasker 11002B. Such as the ,Wi-Fi Bluetooth controller, big 28 lb hopper, front shelf, and something that I originally wasn't thinking about and haven't seen in many grills, a double wall cooking chamber. And living in New England this is going to help keep the heat in most of the year. The one thing I was a little nervous about was not being able to see these grills in person. But , after doing research and reading reviews from other people that had this grill, I decided to purchase the 11002B . It took about a week for it to be shipped from California to New England, and my worry was I hope it didn't get damaged in the shipping process. Well let me tell you, this unit was packaged very well and was also strapped to a pallet. As other people have said, this grill is built like a tank. I was very impressed with the quality of material and build of this unit. It took me about 30- 40 minutes to put this grill together, with a little help from one of my son's. It was nice that the hopper was already attached to the main body of grill. You definitely need help with the weight of this grill. Following the steps for the burn in process was very easy. It was about a 50⁰ day when I was doing the burn in and the grill got to 500 degrees within 25 minutes, which I thought was very good. Last night I cooked chicken breast and everything came out great. As of right now I am so glad that my thoughts of buying a different brand fell through and I found out more about Z Grills. If anyone is looking for a well built, great controller and double wall grill, don't hesitate to purchase the Z Grill 11002B. It was worth the extra money for me to purchase this grill.
I'd give this grill 5 stars if not for the freight company used to deliver. Rude dispatching with an 8hr delivery window and a 15 min heads up. Of course signature required. I lost more income from not working for the day then the cost of the grill.
First grill I have owned. I am very happy so far. The app is great, only wish it had a temp alarm. I have done 2 briskets, one hot and fast and one low and slow and both times the temp stayed very consistent. Looking forward to other accessories, such as a front shelf for the 1000 series.
