Shelf needs to have more depth.

I bought this a month ago and it comes in handy for the most part. The only thing that should be changed, besides the extreme price to a light-weight shelf, is the depth of the shelf. The handle to the lid takes away a few inches and you loose valuable space. Put a pan on the shelf and you still have to hold it until you lift the lid then slide it back a little further to fully be on.

The P.A.L Front Folding Shelf attaches easily to the P.A.L Accessory rail on the front of the grill, and it folds down against the grill so users may keep it installed and still be able to put their grill cover on their grill. The Assembled length for this shelf is 33.25", and the assembled width is 10.60". Don’t waste your money

Useless as ti. S on a bull
The one on the side is perfect
But the add on in the front
Would be useful if it was wider and a lot more sturdier
Put anything on the front shelf and it might end up on the ground, definitely any sauce will end up there .
Not worth the money we spent on it, definitely not up to traeger standards

Bought this for my 780 Pro. Didn't come with any paperwork. After spending all day trying to figure it out I called support and they informed me it doesn't fit my smoker. I checked your website and nowhere does it mention this fact. Very disappointed. Please revise your website so no one else makes buys this.

It offers extra room for prepping and folds down to save space when not in use. I can see how finding the right one for your grill can be confusing. Not Very Useful Shelf for the Ironwood XL

Too narrow and the Ironwood XL handle interferes with this shelf. You can barely use this shelf when the lid is open and definitely cannot rest food on this shelf with the lid closed. Only useful for spoons, cooking utensils, etc. For the Ironwood XL, you will use the side shelf on the left for platters, etc.. Wish I would have passed on this and waited for an improved version (hopefully Traeger is listening...)

Hi, and thanks for posting your reviews on all of the various Pop-And-Lock (P.A.L.) accessories. In regard to the XL Front Folding Shelf size, the 10.6” width is designed to allow enough room for plates and utensils, while not being so wide as to make it difficult for some chefs to reach food at the back of the grill. And since the handle only sticks out about halfway across the shelf, along with the amount of clearance between the handle and the shelf top, there should be plenty of space for sauce bowls, food platters and just about anything else you’ll need to put on it during a cook.

There's really not too much to review, it's a shelf, it's adds to the flexibility of taking things on/off the grill. Pop-and-lock makes it very easy to reposition, so I guess that's an added benefit.
