Pop-And-Lock too small not worth the premium price

You over charged a premium price for a shelf that is too small. There is hardly any room to set anything on it when the lid is closed because the lid handle sticks out so far and covers about a good 6 inches of the shelf. Additionally, the shelf is a good 8 inches short of reaching the full length that it should reach. And you charged a premium price for this?? Charged almost double what you charge for the shelves on other Traeger grills. Terrible business. The design team should be ashamed of designing and selling this shelf for the Silverton XL. Management should be ashamed for approving the design and marketing it.

Hi, and thanks for reviewing the Pop-And-Lock (P.A.L.) Front Shelf. The P.A.L. shelf is designed to provide additional space when in use, and quickly fold out of the way when not needed. Its 24.1” x 10.6” x 7.75” size should still have a substantial amount of surface area available when the lid is closed and the handles clearance from the top of the shelf should also allow items like platters and trays to be placed directly beneath with room to spare. But we always value our customers’ feedback and appreciate you taking the time to comment on the shelf.

I feel the shelf is too small for the Silverton XL grill. Wish it was bigger. Very disappointed

This product works just fine. However, I think it should have come with the Traeger and not purchased as an extra. Without it, you need a side table or something to work from. I think it is an inconvenience not to have one.
