Hot rod gone bad.

I had the Timberline smoker for about a year of lite use. I was doing an all night smoke of a brisket when the fire died. I had to finish the cook in my oven. Apparently the hot rod stopped working. The warranty on the hot rod is one year. The unit has sat unused since. I’m now ready to order and replace the hot rod/fire sensor. Hopefully it will work.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I never thought this grill would make that much difference. I was wrong. This grill is a game changer. First cook was beer can chicken. Took longer than my gas grill…. But that’s the point. Amazing results. Second big cook was St. Louis ribs. I never had the nerve to try it on my gas grill. Traeger grill was easy and the result was impressive. I love the wireless probs. They are very helpful. If you are wondering if it’s worth it…… stop wondering and buy it!
