I BOUGHT STB460 STRING TRIMMER ONE YEAR AGO, AND THE BUMPER HEAD IS BROKEN AND THERE IS NOT REPLACEMENT PART FOR IT.

I was tired of gasoline engine problems plaguing me multiple times a year. After pulling my shoulder trying to start a three month old string trimmer, I said enough. I read every review I could find and they pointed to Greenworks. I bought this particular one for the attachment capability. I can use the edger from my gas edger. I have a lot of bordered flower beds, two driveways and 150’ of driveway. I got it all trimmed on one charge and still had enough of a charge left to swap the battery to my lawn mower and mow my 1/4 acre lawn. It is very lightweight compared to the typical gas models. It takes only a slight tap to feed the line and it is so quiet. All of those are great traits. But you want to know the best of all? It does not use or smell like gas.
I would recommend this to a friend!

We bought this 10/22
The battery on this trimmer mounts sideways. It's very heavy and hard to handle without killing your arm. have they redesigned the way the battery mounts? You have to hold the battery end because the tool wants to flip to the heavy side. I see the new ones are STB460. Are these better?
Pros: Environmentally Safe, Powerful
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

80V of power

I was unable to find a trimmer cap for my 60V model. I decided to upgrade to the 80V model. I never encountered problems with my 60V model so i knew the 80v would be just as reliable. It took all of 5 minutes to unbox. The moment i heard the fan activate while charging the battery i was sold. I have a little under an acre. This model performed effectively and efficiently. Upon completion i still had one bar. It would’ve easily been two but i prolonged the process. I’m impressed and really like Greenworks products. Do yourself a favor, purchase this sooner than later.

Solid and dependable for average uses!

I've had this trimmer for a few months now and have been using it to go along fence lines and edging sidewalks. My yard is about 1,000 square feet in an urban setting with sidewalks and other developed edges, so being able to trim and keep grass from overhanging is important. I find this does the job very well and has plenty of power for the task. If you're in a more rural setting with thicker-than-average weeds, it might not be quite powerful enough. I can also do all my edging with only just about half the battery, so I don't even feel like I'm constantly worried about the battery charge. The only negative for me? You do have to smack the head rather forcefully sometimes to get new string to feed out, so a gentler mechanism might be nice.

Excellent power and versatility

Works with my existing Trimmer plus Edger, Blower, and Husq string trimmer attachments that I currently have. Pop in the 2amp and 4amp batteries from my mower and good to go. I was skeptical of the batteries from the start as for tools, they become throw-away after the manufacturers end the old voltage specs. But I can't say how nice it is to use GreenWorks Tools. The string trimmer with my blower attachment is stronger than my existing gas trimmer and no more smelling like gas when I'm done due to ethanol based gas destroying the fuel lines. Makes easy work of fall leaves. Same positive experience with their mower. Excellent products.
