Overall good experience, a few quirks

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted this range so much when I moved. In my old house I had a 30" GE induction cooktop. In this house I needed a slide in range instead, so got the Bosch, as it was rated one of the best in the category. Also I bought this during the Covid appliance shortage so I was lucky to find and get it at all. I had to get used to a different setup for burners, and I am used to it now, although I think the GE is more "readable." I like the Bosch combo burner on the left when I want to use a larger pan or a griddle. I find the largest round burner works unevenly and I may need to have this looked at. When I use my all clad skillets or sauce pans, I notice uneven cooking areas when simmering. Also when I add a second pan to the smaller burner I notice a change in the energy intensity of any other burner, which didn't happen on my GE. Some liquid spills will shut off the burners but the GE has this too, and it's actually a safety feature, not a bug, so review readers need to understand this and just keep some microfiber towels close by. You can wipe up the spill and turn the range on quickly using these wipes, they work better than paper towels. I always lock the oven so I don't accidentally turn it on if I lean against it. I have not used the oven a lot as I use a smaller one for most dishes, but it has worked well when I have, and it is very easy to clean. My right warmer drawer rail became defective after a while and the drawer would not close all the way so I am having that fixed now. I agree that this drawer is easy to open accidentally. It would be nice to have some way to lock it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this stove to replace another make stove that was 1 years old. This one is fantastic. I love the pizza mode and the flash heat up mode. The stove top works great and is extremely efficient. If I had to say one thing I am adjusting to it is the touch controls. If I am cleaning the controls, or brush up against the front the stove often turns on. I have to keep an eye on that and it will turn itself off. But I love this stove so far. We have owned it for only a couple of months so I will have to see if it will work for the long hall.

Gas igniters

two month old range. All gas igniters firing when center burner lights with corner igniter firing continuously as center burns.

New Kitchen

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After saving up for a new kitchen for the last 10 years we finally were able to do a complete overhaul. Overall, very happy with our new appliances. The range takes a little getting used to as we had gas prior but love how much easier it is to keep things clean. The warming drawer on the bottom is the only thing I wish we could tweak. It opens very easily so if it's bumped while using the cooktop, I have to close it back up. It would be great if the mechanism to push in and open was a little more ridgid to avoid accidentially opening, especially with guests that do not know to be careful from bumping it. We are very happy though with the overall purchase.

Controls difficult

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first induction range, and that part is great (although I had to get rid of some favorite pans that didn't work). I love the super fast water boiling.
Unfortunately it was designed with touch controls, which are difficult to use. They often don't respond.
Except for the oven, which responds to unintended touches. It absolutely needs to have its controls locked, which makes it less convenient.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Excellent range so far!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having owned the Bosch 800 series Slide in range for just over a month now, I can say that I don't regret my decision at all. It is extremely intuitive to use, and very quick to heat up. In fact, my learning curve had to be quick, since the pans were heating up quicker than I was used to, so I had to alter my cooking prep to make sure everything was on hand before I started, because there's no time to go looking in the pantry or the fridge which the stove is on!
The baking I haVe done so far has turned out very well and I have nothing but good things to say about the two bright oven lights which allow me to see inside clearly.
My only issue is the placement of the four stove cooking spots...why is it not symmetrical? Sometimes, my two biggest pans don't fit comfortably next to each other on the two big spots behind since the one on the right is more centrally placed on the stove and not symmetrical to the front two heating elements. But that apart, no complaints.

Induction Range: Bosch 800
