Absolutely the best baby monitor ever made!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is absolutely the best baby monitor ever made. I can say that as I have children of different ages, and with each child I've went through several brands of baby monitors. This isn't your ordinary baby monitor either, it's truly a smart baby monitor. The kicker? It's made by Leap Frog! So you know it's going to be an absolute top notch product. I was impressed with the product the moment I've opened the box and noticed the quality. Even more so impressed when turning it on for the first time. There's practically no set up. Plug in the parent viewer monitor in the parents room, plug in the baby camera in the kids room, and we're done! First thing I've noticed... it's crystal clear! Yes, 1080P! No wired connection and no wifi required! Just crystal clear full HD video transmitting from room to room. The kids room is 2 rooms down the hall on the other side of the house and the video quality is superb. There are many things I like and that I find very useful in this unit. My favorite? The fact that you can view the camera from your smartphone via the Leapfrog app if you choose to set up WiFi. This allows me to keep an eye on the kids while I'm away from home since I work the very early morning hours. Also, I love the fact that I can also set it up where the parent viewer monitor automatically turns on when the baby camera hears sounds, and automatically turns off shortly after there is no more sound. This saves battery if you are using the parent viewer monitor wirelessly. The parent viewer monitor is rechargeable. It can be used plugged in 24/7 or it can be operated using it's own rechargeable battery, enabling the parents to take this parent viewer monitor around the house with them. I take it with me to the living room late at night while the kids are sleeping. One eye on the TV, one eye on the kids. With most other baby monitors, the parent viewer screen is always on. This gets annoying as the light emmiting from the screen is always bright and shining across the parents dark room, making it difficult to sleep at times. With this, it only comes on and off with sound if you configure it to be that way. You can adjust the volume, adjust the brightness and adjust the sensitivity to sounds and motion if you choose to receive those alerts. You can set a timer on music or soothing sounds to play via the baby camera to help the kids fall asleep. What they love about the camera? The ability to talk to us, the parents, through the camera, even if the parent viewer screen is off! Of course they will only hear us, the parents, if we press the button to talk to them back. We can also use it just for audio to listen to the kids room all night if we choose to keep the screen off. Also, the kids adore the nightlight function of the baby camera. We can adjust it to many different colors, but their favorite is either the campfire flicker, or the various shades of blue waves. It provides some comfort and visual effects that will easily put the kids to sleep.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Set this up last night to use for our little one. I will say it’s a nice clear view on the camera. The monitor has a clear screen! Downloading the app to use your phone is always a nice additional touch for you to have at your fingers. I will say this is on par with other monitors I have had in the past but definitely worth a look if you are in the market for a good baby monitor!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am leaping with joy, so happy with this baby monitor. Super easy to use and operate right out of the box. You will not need wifi to pair the monitor with the camera, but if you do have wifi I highly suggest installing the Leapfrog App on your phone or any other device that you currently use. The parent monitor has buttons and is not a touch screen, the app for me was better for navigation, so I have the monitor placed in a different room for extra visualization. The camera itself has a nice range but it must be placed exactly where you need it to be, you can't change angles or positions of the camera through the app or monitor. The camera also includes a temperature sensor as well as motion and sound detector which are incredible. What I personally love the most is the monitor has lullabies, bedtime stories, night lights, and a clear beautiful color picture of your child throughout the day and night, plus two way communication, which is helpful since the baby shares a room with an older sibling. This is a pretty awesome device for all parents out there!!

Hands Down Best Monitor Out There

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] LeapFrog has come out with the best monitor to keep tabs on your little one. Before you start using this, it is recommended that you charge the parent unit for at least 12 hours. The sticker that is on the parent unit was so nice and vibrant that, when I pealed it off, and turned it on I really thought the sticker was still on there That is how CLEAR the picture is. We chose to mount this to the wall, and I am so grateful that they included not only set by set instructions on how to do that, but to also include a link to a video and the hardware that you will need, including the drywall screws. Once everything was set up, we couldn't wait to test this out. Setting up everything was a breeze. The parent unit and the camera are already paired together. Then setting it up to the WIFI in our house took about 5 mins or so.
A big must for us is to know what the temp is in the room, so you can see the degrees on here. Keep in mind it might be warmer or cooler depending on where your heat source is. Also I love the feature of the humidity. Living in a state where our winters cause for a lot of dry air, this is nice to have on there. So we know if we need to run the humidifier in the room more or less.
Another great feature on here is the option of playing music or white noise, that he helped to put our baby back to bed without having to go in and rock her.
You can also talk on this monitor to the room, which is a feature I know we will be using in the future.
You can use this both night and day, I was floored by how the option to go either B&W or Color Night Vision. The clearness of the Black and White is great at night, I can see our baby breathing if you zoom all the way in. The Color Night Vision is really nice, we use it for nap time, and it make the room seem like it is all lit up, when really it's not.
You can also use this as a nightlight for the baby. This is something we have not needed to use too much just yet. But playing around with it, you can choose colors, or even their themes. My husband likes the campfire lights. You can even control the brightness of the nightlight feature. The best part is you can control it from the parent unit or even the app.
The app to use this monitor is great, it does not lag at all, you can take photos or videos of you little one to hold as keepsakes or even send to other family members. Using the app comes in handy when we are out in the backyard and our little one is napping. We can have this on our phone and see and hear what is going on at all times.
The app also even offers you help with sleep for your little one. Watching and reading from the experts at WeeSleep have helped us know how to help our little one get the best sleep possible.
The charge of the parent unit lasts about 12 hours so which is great when you may forget to charge it.
I am so amazed by the monitor, I wish we would had this for our son 5 years ago. The amount of features that is offered with this monitor really gives you the peace of mind as a parent.

Volume is descent can be changed to fo higher or lower. Can zoom in up to 8x. Plays melodies. Was easy to connect to wifi and smartphone app. Took only about 5 minutes to get things connected and up and working. Worth the money

I really like how it has a nightlight connected to it and the monitor is a really great size. The screen is really big and its worked really well for me. It also tells you the humidification and the temperature in the room. I never knew that leap frog had monitors but I really like it and would use it again.
