2 stars for smell - after one month, it still smells and stinks up our sheets, clothes and cats after laying on it.

Like sleeping on a clod

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We’d been putting off buying a new mattress for much longer than we should have—at least a year—and, these last three months, it became incredibly apparent our sleep was far from optimal. I read countless reviews and consulted Consumer Reports before choosing Casper. We purchased both the original hybrid and the base (which I was a little skeptical of because it came disassembled). Putting it together, however, couldn’t be easier and I actually assembled it solo. The mattress sprang right out to its original shape as soon as I removed the plastic wrap and there wasn’t any terrible off-gassing or chemical smell.
The first night, I noticed was my spouse barely changes position during the night; on our old mattress,she used to toss and turn at least a half dozen times before I fell asleep. After the second night I noticed I didn’t feel like a zombie during the day nor did I have the urge to nap. And, now that I really think about it, I’ve also been forgoing coffee or any caffeinated beverages really at all. Don’t wait to buy! This is an incredibly comfortable mattress!
