[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had the original mattress and loved it, but when we needed a new bed decided to go with the hybrid. It’s too soft and very uncomfortable for us side and stomach sleepers. Our backs hurt. We’ll be returning and swapping out for the original.

The box for this Cal King mattress was approximately 120 to 130 pounds and did require a 2nd person to safely move it to the upstairs bedroom before removing it from the box. The unboxing was quick and easy and mattress regained it's original shape and was ready to install into my bed frame within 30 minutes. I've been sleeping on this mattress for about a month now and it has great support and is very comfortable. I wish I had made this purchase 2 or 3 years ago. Best sleep I've had in ages! Love it!

Best nights sleep

Better sleep, persistent smell

Unboxing was very easy, fast! However, I shopped for mattresses and found this one. With help from the app, they suggested the hybrid for us. Well.... is has been a struggle trying to sleep on it. We are still in the 90 day trial period. Don't know how it's going to turn out :(

We decided to order a new mattress after noticing that we were in pain upon waking up and that there was a "valley" in the mattress where my hips and butt were (nice, huh?). It was an extra deep pillow-top but wasn't flippable, so we could only rotate it to try to even out the wear and it just wasn't enough. It was also over 10 years old. So time to try something new. The Casper mattress arrived very quickly and was easy to unpack and get on the box spring. It fully sprang back to its normal shape from being in the packing box in maybe a couple hours. We modified our existing box spring (that used to support a coiled Queen mattress) with two large wooden boards on top of it that my husband custom cut to fit so that it would have a stable base, as advised in the instructions. When we slept on it the first night, it was extremely comfortable, cool, and there wasn't a lot of motion from the other side if that person moved or got up during the night. I've never had a foam mattress before, but after having one on vacation that was heaven to sleep on, we bit the bullet.
So far, I'm very happy with it. I do feel like the only drawback might be that if you sit on the edge, it doesn't have that woven seam that the traditional mattresses do, so you could feel like you're sliding off. But it's easily solved by scooching back a bit. Mostly a concern if you sit on the edge of your bed to put shoes or socks on or put lotion on your feet. It's definitely nothing that would discourage me from having one. It does feel lighter than my other mattress, which will be nice if we want to rotate it. I think, like tires on a car, if you rotate a mattress occasionally, it helps prevent one spot from being uneven due to a bigger person sleeping there or just being in the same spot every night.
We bought this after researching quite a bit and reading many reviews, which said this mattress was good for pretty much any position of sleep. I'm a side sleeper and find that it supports my body really well. My husband is a side, back, and whatever sleeper but I notice he doesn't seem to need to change positions as often as with our old mattress.
I will be keeping tabs on how well this mattress works for us over the next few years, but as of now, one month from purchase, we're happy with the choice to try Casper. It's nice to have a guarantee from the company in case things don't work out but I am hopeful we won't need it. If you're thinking of trying it, give it a shot and sleep on it for at least a month.
