We DID really like it...

We bought this bassinet and have really enjoyed using it and it's convenience since my daughter was born. With that being said, the bassinet seems to have over time became un level and our now 6 week old will start the night in the middle and wake up right up against the netting on the one side everytime. You can visably see how inlevel it is. This is very unfortunate as before this tarted happening I would have absolutely given this basinet 5 stars. My child is not 5 months or 20lbs (the recommended time by halo to discontinue use).

Must have!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This flex sleeper is a game changer! To start it is so simple to put together. The instructions were very detailed and clear. I love thay you can adjust the height. I find it to be sturdy. It's great being able to have baby sleep close by in a safe environment.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Horrible safety concerns
on May 20, 2022

The gap between the sleep surface and the side netting is large enough for my newborn to fit in. I know this because it happened. We replaced our old sleeper(used for three children), because it was recalled for safety concerns (can't for the life of me understand why) and now we have one that has true safety concerns. I would give 0 stars for this product if I could. Yes, you could line the surface with blankets but that too can be unsafe.

Great for up to 10lbs

We have owned this for almost 4 months. In the beginning, it was great, but as the baby surpassed 10lbs, the bed support seems to be failing and the baby slides away from the legs into a “pocket”. The manufacturer states that this is for up to 20lbs, but I do not recommend that without additional support.

SIDS risk

I have been using the Halo Flex for about 2 months. Over the past month I noticed my baby would wind up stuck, on her side, with her face pressed against the mesh lining on the end opposite the feet/legs. I checked the bassinet and realized it was NOT level. The side that is not supported by the legs/feet is lower and therefore the bassinet slants downwards, causing the baby to roll and get stuck at one end. Yesterday she rolled completely over onto her face on that side of the bassinet. She was swaddled (and cannot roll over on her own) so you can imagine I was extremely concerned. She is only 10 lbs and under the weight limit of 20 (& the rolling has been occurring for a few weeks - so she weighed even less when this started) and I do not lean on that side to remove my baby - so we are not putting excessive strain on that end to encourage slanting. It is possible I’ve received a defective one, but have read other reviews where this has been an issue.

Rolls into side
on June 29, 2022

I choose the Halo brand because of their reputation and am severely disappointed. The Flex is absolutely unsafe. My daughter is 2 weeks old and continuously wakes up rolled into the mesh siding. She is swaddled and cannot roll over on her own yet. At first I assumed it was user error upon assembly, just to realize that it simply is just not a level product. As if having a newborn isn’t hard enough on sleep, now I find myself awake all night long making sure she doesn’t roll into the mesh. I love the overall design of this product and how it fits next to my bed, but it has my anxiety through the roof. I would not write off Halo as a brand, but definitely do not purchase the Flex Bassinest!

Mattress isn’t level
on July 10, 2022

We loved this bassinet at first! But the mattress isn’t level and slants down on the side without the legs. My son is now two months old and 13 pounds and the slant is even more pronounced. He is constantly ending up on the side with his face pressed against the mesh. We are so disappointed because we are not ready to move him to his crib out of our room but not sure we can keep using this.

The tilt exists
on July 24, 2022
Posted by: Corey L.
Like others have stated, there is a tilt once the baby is in the bassinet given it's C shape design. It is perfectly level without any weight but even a 6lb 11oz baby was enough to cause a roll. Seems to have a negative impact to his sleep, as he ends up pressed against the mesh. Something to consider when buying. On the plus side, it fits neatly just above our bed at the highest setting (Purple mattress and foundation) which is convenient. Haven't used the flex arm as much as we thought we would.
