[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm very impressed with Cuisinart's Core Custom 13 cup food processor. It offers a wide range of slicing and shredding options. The slicing can run from 1 mm up to 7 mm sized slices. The shredding disk offers fine and medium shredding and there's also a blade for chopping, mixing or dough. You have 4 paddles on the base of the unit as far as speeds: Mix which allows for ingredients such as nuts to be mixed into other ingredients without getting broken up into small pieces, low, high, and pulse, which works by holding the button-down and stopping when you release the button. The pulse paddle and off paddle are the same paddle.
Also included is a 10 page manual that comes in both Spanish and English. On page 7, there is a great chart that explains which tool to use on certain foods and at what speed. And finally, within the manual you will also find a recipe book, (which again, is also in Spanish). The processor is top shelf dishwasher safe except for the housing and the bowl should not be microwaved. The housing unit has suction cups on the bottom so it doesn't wiggle when in use.
I have included some pictures to show you the fine and medium chopping, as well as slicing on settings 1mm, 3 mm, 5 mm, and 7 mm.
Cons: The handle sits right in the front of the processor blocking your view and its a bit loud when using the high setting.

About 35 years ago got a DC-7 workhorse and only a boneheaded mistake ended its life. Had to get another Cuisinart-still the best company for people who love to cook. Did much research, and decided on the Custom Core 13 cup. I also bought the small workbowl accessory. Very happy with it so far. Cuisinart made some design changes a few years ago, which were not great. Thank fully they took the responses from customers to heart and the Core Custom 13 cup is really nice. My only complaint, the cord is not the really heavy round cord form my DC-7, but it is enough to get the job done. If you get this Cuisinart, and if you get the small work bowl, keep the box and plastic insert from the small work bowl and store it in that box. There is also a plastic insert for the Cuisinart. These keep the blades safely away from your hands when it is stored. I have not used the shredder or slicer discs yet, but they seem substantial, like the DC-7, so I am not worried. One other thing to note. When you use the Pulse button, with the first push it just lights up, but second push and it is running the blade. The pulse has a very quick blade stop when you let up on the button, as does the low and high speed "on" when you hit pulse to stop the blade. You need to have all parts of the bowl and lid and blades in place and properly locked before the unit operates. Very important for safety. One hint-when you wash the VERY sharp blades, I wear a meat slicer's glove. Even though I am very careful, it is just one more protective layer between blade and skin. Looking forward to many happy choppy, shreddy, slicey years with this machine.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this recently because I was spending way too much time in chopping my vegetables for meal Prep. This has been a giant time saver, it’s super efficient in getting the exact size of the vegetables I need cut.. also I’ve used it to make some dough for me aswell to make tortillas, it worked great and reduced the work load for me!

I have wanted a full size food processor for quite some time. I have been using my Cuisinart Little Pro Plus for almost 30 years. It came with a juicer attachment. I broke that attachment about 20 years ago and never replaced it. The food processor still works perfectly. My husband surprised me with this new Cuisinart for Christmas. I love it! I no longer have to mix things in two parts, it all fits in one bowl. I appreciate how the blade, slicer and shredder attachments fit into the bowl for storage. I love using this food processor.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This food processor is perfect for my family of four. I use it about once a week and found that it’s powerful and does everything I would need (even mixing, bonus!). I really like that it stores so neatly. There are no extra pieces that are stored separately. You just take out the processor and it’s all there. And unlike other processors I’ve had in the past, it’s easy to get the lid on and off. Another huge bonus is how easy it is to clean. These days I’m looking for things that are easy to maintain, are well made, store easily and do what they are intended for. This food processor checks all of those boxes.

The jury is still out on the in-bowl attachment storage. On the pro side, it saves cabinet space by not having a separate storage rack for the slicing and shredding disks. On the con side, it's a bit of a pain to have to remove the two disks and the storage rack and then assemble the metal blade to the spindle, since 90% of the time I use the metal blade. I like that the motor base is lighter weight than my old model so it's easier to lift from cabinet to countertop. Performance seems to be fine. The small pusher is a little hard to get out of the medium pusher.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow, I have found many great uses for this food processor. This handy kitchen helper is great for slicing, shredding, chopping, and other duties. I'm super impressed by how easy it is to use and clean. The fact that parts of it can go in the dishwasher is a huge plus for me. Storing all of the parts inside is helpful, as I can keep it all together. This unit seems to be well made, and based on my other Cuisinart kitchen appliances, I am sure it will last a long time.

not impressed with how the blades assemble. With thick items they dislodge. (think making peanut butter) My-old one which was probably over 25 - 30 years old was twice as heavy, very solid construction, and made nut butters in about 3 minutes.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
