This unit replaces a previous 12 cup Cusinart Grind and Brew unit that failed in less than a year. It makes great cup of coffee. Wish this was offered in a 12 cup version. The brew button with auto on function occasionally does not work and we need to use auto on. Has an auto clean function for grinder, will this work in the “long haul”?

Great coffeemaker overall. Cons - a bit pricey, can be difficult to add water to the tank, tends to be a bit weak even on bold setting with light or medium roast coffee, instructions say it won’t run if there aren’t enough beans but it does. Pros - convenient to have grinder and maker combo, reasonably easy to operate, thermos (main reason we got this maker) keeps coffee hot for a long time, programmable, has different settings (brew strength and number of cups), nice appearance. Happy with the purchase so far.

Had an older model burr grind & brew still under warranty which began leaking. Liked it very much but this new one is even better. Love the one piece basket especially. Also like the front controls better. The only thing I regret is that it is no longer 12 cup. Since I have a large family, 10 cups is never enough.
