I had high hopes for this coffeemaker, but I had to return it. Filling the water was difficult to do because the reservoir was located in the back and it was hard to reach. Water ran down machine. Also, I was very disappointed when the coffeemaker dripped coffee over my counter after the third use.

Overall the coffeemaker seems well made and easy to use. However, the pour spout on the carafe is awful. It is impossible to get a smooth pour and the spout causes the coffee to splash everywhere. In addition, the shoulder and lip of the carafe makes it almost impossible to fully empty the carafe unless you hold it almost upside down.
I would recommend this to a friend!

We love Cuisinart company, they are very responsive and helpful. However, this burr grinder coffee maker does not grind the coffee fine enough to get a great cup of coffee from our great coffee beans. The older model of this coffeemaker did a fine grind and was terrific!

The carafe is why this gets at least 3 stars. Super ni e to not have the coffee burn. No higher than that because no matter how we set it, it does not automatically grind enough beans to make a decently strong cup. Instead we have to trick it into grinding twice, even when set at max strength.

It requires making at least 4 cups. I don’t need 4 cups! It isn’t hot enough and doesn’t keep the coffee hot. I do like watching the coffee being fed into the grinder. The coffee does taste very good.

Had to return this coffee maker after trying to get it to work for two weeks. The grinder control did not work; some days it would grind beans for a weak cup of coffee, next day it would grind for 30-35 seconds and use up nearly ½ lb beans when set for two cups. Kept changing settings but seldom got the correct combo of beans to water. Also, coffee was only lukewarm, so thermostat did not work either. I have an earlier model of this same coffee maker in my vacation home and it has been working fine for over a year.
