Just hate it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This cooktop may look nice, but I hate it! It has some kind of "heat sensitive" locking mechanism, that is not explained fully in the user manual, and causes an alarm to go off whenever you set a hot pan on it. I take pans out of the oven and put them on the cooktop and it goes crazy beeping when I do this and I cannot figure out how to turn it off. So annoying and if it had not been so difficult to install, I would be returning it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great price, efficient and smart

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) This 30" 5 zone unit replaced a 1989 KitchenAid Superba. This unit is fast and constant, the 10(broil) dual is great for blue rare steaks, and 4 dual is great for eggs. Having the 3 second safety off is great for cleaning with no fear of turning on a element.
I would recommend this to a friend!
