[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] LOVE it so far! I did find an online video that was really helpful (on the KitchenAid site) that explained how to use it and what the different features are. Much easier than reading a manual. It's really easy to keep clean, and the fact that it heats so fast is great. It's responsiveness to change in settings is great too. It's efficient and precise cooking makes my meal prep a pleasure... and now I am a "consistent" cook!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very clean design and works flawlessly. I prefer induction vs gas or electric heat due to fast and even cooking. This is my 2nd induction cooktop and would not go back to gas or electric heat.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first induction cooktop, so I’m still getting the hang of it. I’ve always cooked on a traditional gas cooktop and induction works very differently, so there’s definitely been a bit of a learning curve with the settings and figuring out the right heat levels. One thing that has been a little confusing is that the magnet/induction element doesn’t seem to be directly centered on the cooking area, which takes some getting used to when positioning your cookware.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The cooktop is very responsive. Amazing how fast it can boil water. No burned on food like regular cooktop. Only complaint is it beeps if you wipe cooktop while it is on or off even when locked. Have had to hit breaker to get it to stop. Otherwise would have given it a five.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was not my first Induction cooktop. All control buttons are slow to respond. When I clean or wipe over the cooktop controls, it turns off and sometimes locks the control for approximately 1 min. On the good side I like the way it cooks and rapidly heats to maximum hot. I don't have any problem with using all metal pans.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This cooktop works well. Heats up and cools down quickly And it looks good and is easy to clean. I’ve found the preset for cooking rice (the only one I’ve tried ) doesn’t work very well. It overcooked the rice. I’ve just had to play with manual settings to get this right. I’d give this 5 stars except it (and the oven I bought at the same time) doesn’t come with a paper owner’s manual. I hate this is that the wave of the future.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always loved using a gas cooktop, but for our new home I selected the 36 inch induction cooktop. I wanted the ease of clean up, no excessive heat when cooking and improved efficiency with electric instead of propane. I LOVE this induction cooktop. It heats up quickly, no excessive heat given off in the kitchen and is extremely consistant. It is the first time ever that low simmer is really a low simmer. I scramble eggs on 4 and they are exactly the same every time. We planned a ahead of time which pans we prefer and found great, afforadable options. There is a bit of a learning curve at first, but well worth it. Ease of clean up alone would cause me to select induction again!
