Used to be me favorite to go mug!!

Loved this cup when I got it. Great for keeping the coffee hot and liked drinking from it. After some time using it had issues with cleaning it. Always ran hot hot water through it but found it collected crude in the lid. Used a toothpick and q tip to try to clean it but it got too disgusting to drink out of. Hated to see it go but turned into a bacteria host. Not happy considering the cost.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Keeps Coffee HOT!

This travel cup is insulated and keeps coffee hot for an extended period of time. It does not leak if turned over. The cup is pricey but the ability to insulate offsets the high price. Rinse the top assembly with hot soap and water after each use before the coffee residue dries and there will be no buildup of scum. The best travel cup I have used to date.

After reading all of the reviews, i have to think that the cup is fine, its the reviewers with the problems. I have 2 of the 14 oz and 1 of the 16 oz ( available at a.....). All three work fine. If you think the lid is dirty, take a look at the inside of your brewer. Thats what makes a good cup of coffee.

Just What I Wanted

I purchased my first travel mug hoping I could find one that was good at keeping things dry. I also wanted one where the top was easy to close securely with out having the handle at an awkward position for drinking. PROBLEM(S)Solved! Since there is no handle, there is no trouble with it being on the wrong side of the mug for easy drinking. The other trouble is trouble no more. I love the way the mug closes automatically closes when I'm finished with my sip. And it works great with the opening as well as closing after each drink. I haven't spilled a drop while using Keurig travel mug. I like mine so much I'm using my points to buy another one at half price. Although some people have had problems with cleaning, it hasn't been an issue with me, since I don't take cream or sugar in my coffee. I do wash it with lots of hot water but no soap when I'm done using it. This way everything is ready for the next adventure. When I'm drinking something like the Cafe Mocha or the hot chocolate drinks, I use a regular mug since those are my relaxing drinks for home rather than coffee for the road. After all is said and done, I'd give this travel mug ten stars if I could. It's such a pleasure to know I won't spill anything even if I drop it. The top is easy to attach as well as remove so this is really the perfect travel mug for me.

Poor lid design

Great mug. Used for months then noticed some "gunk" on the lid. Tried cleaning it and found more "gunk" hidden in the lid mechanism. That's the problem. You cannot dis-assemble the lid to get to all the nooks and crannies of the mechanism. I did the hot water, vinegar etc. Finally got it clean. Few weeks later same problem. If you can't clean the mug right after using it, and you use sugar and cream, you'll get the build up if "stuff".
Pros: Keep Coffee Reasonably Ho, Prevents Coffee Spills
Cons: Poor Lid Design

Leaks around the open button
