Love this Coffee Contigo. We have another which has been used for many years. Wanted another one for hubby. Keeps coffee hot for over 3 hours and has a lock so you can't spill it. Fits good in beverage holder on console of car.

Lid keeps leaking

I don't know if it's just me or the lid, but every time I go to get a drink the lid leaks/drips coffee all over! Have washed it, cleaned it, but still drips out coffee from the button where you push on the mug! Otherwise this mug would be perfect for me since I'm always drinking coffee on the go.

Lid broke after first use

I am picky about my coffee mug because I want the lid to stay on securely and be able to open/close easily. I also want my coffee to stay warm for 2-3 hours in the mug. I drink 3-4 mugs/day, but I am a coffee sipper :)

Needs a re-designed lid...good and bad

I really like my Contigo Keurig coffee mug...however, unless this one has a re-designed lid and drink mechanism, it's nearly impossible to clean it. After repeated use it builds up what looks like mildew or mold inside and despite cleaning it daily with soapy water and letting it air dry, you CANNOT clean it out. I have used nearly boiling water and shook the heck out of it and it still keeps dropping large pieces of black residue in the sink when I dump it out. As a result of this, I only use the lid for transportation and when I arrive at work, I remove the lid and drink right from the mug. It's gross to think that stuff is inside my lid...I certainly am not drinking thru it. I've even replaced the lid once and tried other ways of keeping clean without any success. The mechanism has too many intricate places that cannot be reached with a brush, sponge or even papertowel. On the flip side...the only reason I still use it is because 1) it fits under the brewer, 2) it is truly spill proof even after being thrown off my car seat onto the floor to avoid a car accident!, 3) it keeps my coffee nice and hot even with the lid off due to the dual wall steel construction. It could use a handle though...I miss having a mug with a handle.
Pros: Spillproof, Stays Hot For Hours, Leakproof
Cons: Needs A Handle, Cannot Clean Lid Mechansm

Great for the first few months

I bought this mug about 6 months ago, and absolutely loved it. Until recently, I placed it on my red car seat and drove to work same as every day. But this time my seat was soaked with coffee. Thought I must have screwed up something. Then I noticed over the next week it no longer seals. It leaks from the button, nothing I can do to stop it either. Very disappointed, before that I praised it to my co-workers....glad none of them bought one.

Best Travel Mug I've Tried

My wife and I have tried literally over a hundred dollars worth of different travel mugs in search of perfection, and these Contigo mugs are what prompted us to stop looking. Everything else we have tried either maintained temperature but leaked or didn't leak but didn't maintain temperature either. These mugs get it right on both features, so much so that we each have dedicated hot drink and ice water mugs (we've seen ice last over 24 hours). Don't hesitate to try one (or more!). By the way, ours are not the Keurig branded version, but I'm sure that is the only difference between our and these.
Pros: Keeps Cold Beverages Cold, Leakproof, Keeps Hot Beverages Hot

Terrible Lid, Great Mug

I have used my Keurig travel mug every day for almost a year and I LOVED it. It keeps coffee hot for HOURS. Recently I noticed that the inside of the lid had a build up. I put it in boiling water to "disinfect" it and then sprayed hot water through it. Large amounts of black, disgusting mold-like chunks came out. Lots of them. I repeated that process multiple times until I felt confident that it was clean. Today, I took a sip and had to spit out one of those black pieces while another one was stuck in the mouth hole. I will NEVER drink from this lid again and I'm very disappointed because it is my favorite. I'm so glad to read that I'm not the only one!
Pros: Keeps Coffee Hot, Well Made Base
Cons: Lid Doesn't Clean
