Coffee stayed warm for 1 hour, not 5 as stated on label. Other than that, I like the features. The hole for drinking could be a bit larger.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Loved This Travel Mug Until the Lid Broke

I received this mug as a gift from my mother because she knows how particular I am. She researched and looked for months to find one she thought was perfect. Have loved it and was singing its praises to her...told her it was the best mug I've ever had. Last week the mechanism that keeps the spout closed and "leak-proof" broke when I hand washed it. I've kept it impeccably clean, hand washing it after every use. Really upset because it was the best leak-proof travel mug I'd ever had.

This is my second travel mug. It keeps my coffee warm for quite a while. I just wish the gasket was easier to clean or this would have had 5 stars.

I followed users' and manual instructions, and am happy to report this mug is definitely spill proof as long as you make sure your drink does not go past the indentation inside, where the mug narrows from its width. Any filling past it will definitely result in leakage and spillout from underneath the grip/sealed top. Aside from that, it definitely keeps coffee warm for 3 to 4 hours, not piping hot - and it keeps iced coffee chilly for much longer (I have not tried to keep iced coffee for over 10 hours - I mean, come on, I'm chugging my iced coffee) and I really love the grip. It helps my hands, which occasionally struggle with grip strength. I'd love to buy in more colors!
