I do like the added timer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the second Kitchenaid induction cooktop for me. The 1st was purchased approx 10 yrs ago. I absolutely LOVED it. Unfortunately, I had to replace. There is very little good I have to say about this new one. Burners are EXTREMELY slow to heat, burners cook unevenly. The largest burner can take up to 30-40 (on 9-P) minutes for water to boil. I have drawers underneath cooktop. Spoons, spatulas etc. get too hot to touch when cooktop is in use. I called retail store to ask about the extreme heat and they sent a factory authorized repairman. His diagnosis was extreme heat was something I had to live with. Controls are too sensitive. I will give a rating of 2 stars as stove eventually does the job.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Boils water fast!

It boils water very fast and keeps a consistent temperature. I am very pleased with this purchase. Preheat is not necessary and the cooktop responds very quickly.

Solid choice for an induction cooktop

We like the responsiveness of the controls and the rapid heating of pots and pans. It has a consistent output and looks good on our island. It is nice to be able to "dial in" settings with precision. I wish we had enough room for the larger version of the cooktop to improve functionality with our existing cookware.

Always Efficient

I was wary at first with this new type of cooktop being a senior used to something more vintage. But, this KitchenAid product is so efficient and precise with the heating levels that I am totally impressed. I am so very relieved that it is safe to use and very reliable too.
