I had high hopes for this product because I get so tired vacuuming first, then steam mopping afterwards. But after using this product twice, I'm quite disappointed. I wanted to love it but everything about it is just OK, considering the price. I've owned four different brands of steam mops, so I know a lot about them. Regarding the Symphony: It's heavy. It's not easy to push around. The water cap is difficult to pull out. The vacuum is pretty loud. I didn't see a difference between the High and Low settings for steam. The pads weren't very dirty after use, but there was a lot of water left on the floor. So when I wiped up the excess water left on the floor, my rag was dirty. This leads me to believe that the transference of dirt to the pad is not good because the water is not hot enough. Also the water left on the floor doesn't evaporate quickly because it isn't hot enough. I had the same problem with another Bissell I had owned. The vacuum doesn't work very well either. I know this because I would find crumbs on the mop pad itself rather than in the vacuum cup. One more thing: the product works better when pushed forward. When you pull it back toward you, the head tilts upward so that the whole pad is no longer in contact with the floor. If Bissell can perfect the product with a more powerful vacuum and steam, lightweight and maybe the ability to clip your own rags (rather than using the elasticized pads), it would be a truly revolutionary hit. But for now, it's meh.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have hard wood and 2 dogs and 3 cats. This works great! Gets all the hair and messes at one time. Real time saver and back saver as well.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is light weight which is great! Easy to assemble but didn't clean very well with the steamboost pads. I didnt like that the vacuum box was not in a shipping box.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I am on my second machine within 16 months. I purchased the first one in June of 2015 which promptly broke in two months. I brought that one in to an authorized dealer who was 'waiting for parts from Bissell' for about three months. However when I went to pick it up, I received a brand new replacement instead. That was November of 2015. I was very happy with it. I have been using it (mine is an 1132A) only once a week and it now just went kerplunk. It is a shame as I really was happy with how well it cleaned but it is clearly not made to be in it for the long haul - or even more than 12 months!. It is too much to expect that hard earned money spent on a product should have a certain expectation? I am hesitant to buy a new one and I feel for the money spent it should have a longer lifespan than the 10-11 months that I had.

I'm going green, no chemicals , so I purchased this steam mop. It does good on a smooth floor, but if the floor has any little design or texture to it , then it will not clean in those little creavasages. I wish it had a scrubbing attachment to go on it. Then it would probably work. I fell like it was not worth the money, but I can not return it. My 60 days was up and I replaced one of my floors, with the textured floor. And you can not vacuum carpet.

1/3 of my house is tile floors and I'm very happy so far. I can even vacuum the area rugs in my tile kitchen and hallways before I pick them up to do the rest of the floors with the steam setting. I used to have to vacuum with my regular vacuum and that was always a hassle as I had to be careful I didn't suck up the rugs. Floors dried in a snap and I could get right up the edges. It doesn't get corners very well, but then most mopping systems don't either. I purchased a second one for my daughter for Christmas. So far so good!
