Hi Aura - sorry to hear this, but you won't see a lot of steam while using the Symphony as it's directed to the floor and contained by the mop pad. If you are seeing stains on the floor it may be the flooring isn't safe for steam and you left it sitting in one spot too long. We don't recommend steam for vinyl or linoleum flooring, but it's great for sealed wood and tile floors.

I have been having low back problems and regular mopping seemed to trigger it. I purchased this to use daily and not have to mop as frequently. It does a great job and is easy on my back.

This vacuum is absolutely amazing!! It literally cut my cleaning time in half AND I actually want to use it. We have 8,000+sq ft of slate and hardwood. I absolutely love my floors, but if you've ever tried cleaning slate you know how difficult it is. I always had to sweep before I mopped which was a major pain. I can now just plug in my vacuum/steam mop and get to work. The vacuum actually sucks things up (you can use it on low pile carpets too) instead of just throwing the dirt around on the tile and the steam mop cleans very well. It leaves my hardwood floors shining and does not leave streaks or any residue. It takes a little effort to push around on the slate, but nothing to worry about. The only thing I wish it had was a longer cord so I didn't have to unplug it so often. I'm sure with a smaller size house the cord would work just fine though. The whole machine is easy to use and works so well. The mopping pads come off with ease and are so easy to put back on. I would absolutely recommend this machine to anyone. 100% great machine.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We use this vacuum and steam mop a lot! It works great on our tile and wood floors. Nice to know the floors have been sanitized with the steam. When using the steam mop, the vacuum comes in handy because it can be quickly used to pick up any "chunks" without having to bend over or get out the broom.

This was a great pur base. We have 2 cats who leave hair and foot prints on our vinyl wood floors. This is effective in that you can sweep and mop at the same time. Very easy to use and lightweight.
