[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first vacuum-steam mop and so far it is doing a good job of the routine, near-daily cleaning. I've had the machine about two weeks and used it several times. We are using only the recommended distilled water in it, which I hope will give it a long, useful life. One thing we noticed about the steam: Rather than the 30 seconds advertised to heat the water to steaming, we find it takes a good full minute-or more. The unit is fairly light weight and is quite easy to use, even for this old woman. There are no attachments for getting behind the toilet or in tight spots, so we still have to do hand mopping in those areas. Would be nice if there were a tool for those jobs, and for running along the top of the baseboards without having to bend over. Arthritis is the pits. The machine did leave streaks on the wood floors last time I used it. I used the wood floor steam setting, wood-floor reusable mop head as before, and made sure it clicked in properly, so I have no idea why that time it left streaks when it hadn't the two or three times I had used it on those floors before. If that keeps up, I'll have to reduce the number of stars in my review. The biggest down side with this machine is that the reusable mop heads are extremely difficult to clean when washing by hand. I did buy an extra set, but since they cannot be bleached, I can't wash them with my other rags in the washing machine. Buying enough to accumulate a full washer load would be a waste of money, so I wash them by hand. Even with soaking, they require a lot of scrubbing, even when using them once a day. The plastic fibers seem to want to hang onto the dirt and never let it go. I SO wish we could purchase an organic cotton version of the cleaning cloths. These issues notwithstanding, I've ordered a second Symphony for my aged mother's house to make cleaning up over there easier.

Bissell Symphony for a Revolutionary Clean

I am delighted to report that the new Bissell Symphony All in One Vacuum and Steam Mop 1132 arrived on my doorstep the day after Christmas as a result of my participation in a recent contest sponsored by Bissell. The perfect timing could not have been planned better. As a result of entertaining my large extended family the day before my floors were definitely in need of a thorough cleaning. This mop was a snap to set up. The only cleaning solution required was distilled water. A choice of light duty or heavier duty washable cleaning pads attached easily and steam was generating in less than a minute. An adjustable height sturdy handle with built-in easy to access controls made the cleaner comfortable to use. I was very impressed with the cyclonic vacuum that easily picked up all of the crumbs, pet hair and other loose debris and the steam that very easily loosened and removed all of the spills, grease and soil that had accumulated from holiday cooking. My textured ceramic tile floor was perfectly clean and sanitized in a very short time without buckets, brooms, mops or cleaning solutions. I also tried this amazing cleaner on my hardwood floors with the same streak-free, fume-free amazing results. I was also very pleased that my floors dried extremely quickly too. A flick of a button released the dust canister which I could then empty easily, the cleaning pad was easily removed and was tossed into the washing machine and I was done in hardly any time at all. This is a fabulous cleaning tool and is one I highly recommend to everyone. It is eco-friendly, convenient, sturdy and highly effective for getting floors extremely clean with very little effort or time.

this product easy to use ,light weight,easy to get under items,and it does a great job.I only have a little hard wood area 5ft by 8ft. but it did a great job almost like new.So I tried on our vinly floors,wooked great.then I went to my tiled btrm floors ,alittle hard to get around things but it got the floor clean and spelling great. overall I liked the product. R.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I LOVE my new Symphony all-in-one! My house is entirely vinyl linoleum flooring, and this vac n steam mop cleans my floors beautifully. I have a black lab mix and a 16 year old son, so my floors are always having mud, dirt and dog hair on them. I can clean my whole house in 15 minutes. It's amazing. I hate cleaning my floors, but I have done it every day since I got this. I love using it THAT much.
