I like the product except when I unplug it any water left in drains out all over my floors. I kept seeing water and wondering where, then I realized every time I find water there also sits the Bissell..with no water in it. I do not see anywhere in the manual we should empty the remaining water.

This is so much better than the Shark Pro steam I had been using. Easy to handle. Love the easy open/close dust canister. I am not really a believer that steam cleans it all. But I just like that fact that it can vacuum by alone or while you steam the floor. I have had no need to use a sponge mop. I use the steaming option only on the tile floors and then follow with the scented steam pads. I don't steam my laminate floors but this is just my own personal preference. It vacuums carpets well also even though I have no pets. Easy to store. I am very pleased and will purchase it again!

At first I was impressed but the vacuum is almost useless. It clogs constantly and the suction is terrible. I spent more time trying to get the suction to improve than vacuuming. I liked the steam but only a few months of use the steamer quit working. I went out and bought another vacuum and I think I will see if I can return this.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Do Not Waste Your Money

Its way too hard to push when trying to steam. Even my 20 yr. old grandson said "screw it - I am not pushing that thing around, get rid of it". And now after 3 uses (tries to use) it quit steaming - BUT the vacuum works OK. Its sitting in the corner and I am not sure what to do with it........

We appreciate your posting. We have a few tips to help get your Symphony to push easier and steam. Make sure the tag from the mop pad isn't caught in the wheels making your machine push hard. Also, the scrubby pad will be harder to push because of the increased friction from the microfiber weave. If you used waxed based products prior the wax build-up could be the cause. For the maximum steam to spray keep on "HI" level. Always use water only in your Symphony and distilled water works best.Check the filter/hoses and the dirt cup that they are installed properly. There should be any gaps. If you remove the foot and remove the foot tray you can see the spray port. To clean take a paperclip and ream the sides, then try to spray steam again.

This is light, easy and has made keeping our floors clean much easier. It is not super quick, but much better than the alternative.

Great for laminate/vinyl flooring

This is the fastest I can throughly clean my new vinyl flooring. I have the CrossWave because I had tile flooring but had it taken up. The CrossWave does a great job but takes longer than the Symphony. The vacuum on the Symphony doesn't miss anything. I also like the fact it cleans up closer to the base board than does my CrossWave. The pickup remains dry and the amount of steam is admirable. I was surprised at how dirty the washable steam mop cloth became. The floor dries lickety split. It is as easy as using a wet microfiber mop but vacuums at the same time. Great cleaner for those with laminate, hardwood or vinyl flooring.
