[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used the symphony to replace my Swiffer vacuum and wet cloth. The steam makes the floor so much cleaner and being able to vacuum at the same time saves time. The cloth gets really dirty and not being able to wash it with Clorox makes the cloth look dirty when I know that I ran it through the wash. I tried vinegar on it, but the dirt stains do not come out.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I was so excited to try out my new Bissel Symphony on my wood floors. It was working great for about 10 minutes then just stopped working. I'm so disappointed and with 4 kids running around I need something that actually works! I'll be looking for something else.

Horrible! Waste of money

I bought this since we recently put in hardwood and even for minor simple pick ups it doesn't work. This picks up nothing from the floor, the steam release is connected to the handle so you can't vaccuum without steam. The steam is also horrible. My son spilt juice so I wiped it and tried to steam to avert stickyness. This just spread the issue. Wish I could get a refund for junk that will be in the garbage.

Thank you for your review. Let us get your machine working properly with a few tips. Make sure the "vac" light is on for suction. The filters need to be clean for good airflow. Make sure they are connected properly as well as the dirt cup. You can remove the hoses to clean. Just make sure they are dry before reinstalling. They could be a clog in the floor nozzle. Please pull this off and look for any hair/debris. They Symphony should get up your sticky messes. First the 'Steam Ready" light has to stop blinking. Hold the trigger up to 2 minutes to prime. To promote the most steam set to "HI". Make sure the filter is secure to the machine, there shouldn't be any gaps.

Steam mops no to be used on luxury vinyl plank flooring.

No where on the website or In the manual does it say not to use on luxury vinyl plank flooring. Other sites say do not use on luxury vinyl plank flooring as it can warp the edges and/or loosen planks. Also I used part distilled water and the Bissell Eucalyptus Mint Water and it left a film on the floor. I have several Bissell products and am very happy with them but very disappointed with the steam mop
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi Cheryl - thanks for your feedback. You're correct, we don't recommend using steam on vinyl flooring and we always recommend consulting your flooring manufacturer for cleaning instructions. We'll definitely pass on your suggestion to add this to our website, however it does list tile, laminate and hard wood flooring - but not vinyl on the product details.
