[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use the Bissell Symphony pet all in one vacuum and steam mop frequently, works great and save me time on vacuuming the floors first before mopping. It works well on floors and thin carpets, not as well on thick plush carpets.

I loved this product when we first got, I read all the reviews, even the ones that said that there was a defect and the steam function would not last. We don't have pets but I thought this would be a great machine to use on the hardwood floors. it was great at first. Heats quickly, does not leave masses of water on the floor so they dry fast, Easy to use and easy to maintain. I used reverse osmosis water so that there would be no scale buildup. all was well until now... Vacuum still works but the steam function is no more. You can hear it start to warm up and then it starts clunking at about the time the steam should appear. The bottom part of the cleaner got very hot but still no steam. How can you rely on a product that breaks so fast? Very disappointing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Caring for my geriatric fur baby is much easier now. She has arthritis (as does her mom)and she has accidents where she misses her pads, or can't make it to the pad in a timely fashion. I also foster cats and dogs - who also have accidents. This product is an answered prayer for me. It's so light weight and efficient that I can clean up all the messes and all floors in my house in about 20 minutes whereas before it took an hour or more to clean the mess up with paper towels, then sweep or vacuum the entire floor then drag out the mop, mop bucket and make the disinfectant mopping solution, mop and wring out and try to dry floor quickly. My worn and arthritic shoulder joints are singing your praises as well as my professional experience side with the environmentally friendly and sanitized requirements met. I go barefoot in the house a lot and I can tell you..these floors are clean!!!! I also have an acute sense of smell..and I can tell you.. this machine really cleans.. there are no odors from incompletely cleaned accidents. I have already recommended to friends and former co-workers!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It works a miracle! It doesn't soak the floors. Our floors are 116 years old and hardwood parquet. I worry about too much water on them. This vacuum/steam cleaner is ideal. It is lightweight as well making it easier to handle for an older person.

Just bought and used my Symphony for the first time! Our house has hard wood and linoleum as well as tile. Worked great on all surfaces! Saves me so much time since I can vacuum and steam all in one pass! I have another steam mop but I'll only be using the Symphony on my floors from now on! LOVE IT!!

I bought this hoping to kill two birds at one time while cleaning my floors. Prior to this I had a $75 bissell steam cleaner. The first time I used this I was excited and impressed. The little stains on my kitchen floor came right up and the vacuum suction was awesome. I thought wow! This is great. Then I brought it out to use the second time and came across something stick to the floor. I thought no problem. This will be quick and easy to get up. Boy was I wrong. It took at least 30 tries with this machine to get it up. I even held the steam over the stuck on yuck with no luck. I had to push down on the handle and basically scrub it up. It would've been quicker and easier to use a spray cleaner and rag to get it up. What's the point if I have muscle gunk off the floor by pressing the pad onto the floor hard? My shoulder hurt by the time I was done getting it off. There are other issues too: The steam is not hot at all... my former $75 steam mop left my floors hot to the touch which is how it's supposed to kill germs. This leaves the floors Luke warm. If you have multiple floors in different places in your home to clean like bathrooms etc you will have to unplug this, go to that spot, plug it back in and wait the thirty seconds for it to heat up. This is annoying. The water container is small and runs out quickly. So between the fact that this takes brute strength to get up stuck on gunk and it isn't hot enough to kill germs I'm not impressed.
