I bought this even though I saw a lot of negative comments. So my anticipation wasn't that great but I think this product is perfect for my needs. I just designed and built my new home in SW Florida which I had completely tiled the other standard vacuums and carpet cleaners really didn't work well.So I needed another option and this is perfect! The steam mop pads easily clean in the washer and the vacuum has plenty of suction for dust, dirt, and pet hair. There people that complained about the noise and the steam not getting hot enough. They must have defective machines because mine is far less noisy than the vacuums I currently own and the steam is so hot that you have to wait a bit before taking the mop pads off. Anyway I'm totally happy with this unit and promote it to everyone down here. John

Its lght and easy to empty. I use it daily. The dog hair sticks to the mop pad, not sure the suction is strong enough. The steam seems uneven.

I used to sweep and then use my swiffer wet jet, but my floors were still dirty. The symphony takes 1/2 the time and better results, I love it!! #sweepstakes

Vacuum: Amazing! I was doubtful how well it would do with baby/kid dining messes. Oh my goodness was a I pleasantly surprised. I took pictures, but there's nowhere to add them to this review. Got the cheerios, got the Kidney bean, it even got the cheeto-shaped baby snacks! That clinched it for me. Mop: Mopping while vacuuming is cool, but I couldn't see the steam. I feel like it did a better job on its own. My 1/2 star knock-off is because I think the steam mop could be hotter and/or just a little better. Even though I did most of the mopping separately, it was great to turn the vacuum back on whenever I came upon a missed crumb. I used the scrubbing pad, and initially had trouble pushing the vac-mop, but once the pad got wet enough it slid just fine. I will be keeping this right next to the highchair. Great job, Bissell

Thanks for the great review Hez. I did want to let you know that the symphony directs all of the steam to the floor for the best results. As you can imagine when you see a lot of steam, not much is being directed to the floors as it escapes up. We wanted performance, not an illusion. You can see the steam fill in the windows on the foot and you can hear when the water runs out. Rest assured the Symphony is getting the job done!

We received our Symphony in late December just in time for holiday cleaning. We have been using a Shark Steam Mop for years and this provided us with an excellent point of comparison. We have a pet that sheds very fine hair so opted to vacuum independent of steaming on our ceramic floors based on previous experience. The vacuum mode did a credible job on both pet hair and dirt and the canister was very easy to remove and clean. The steam head attachment was easily installed as was the pad attachment. The unit stands vertical on it's own allowing for convenient storage and easy water fill. It is easy to state that the unit is attractive, has quality construction and has well thought out design features that are convenient and easy to use (multi-point adjustable metal handle, low profile vacuum/mop head, well placed and durable controls, two steam levels, continuous steam application and a sufficiently long cord). Given all of this, the proof still has to be in the cleaning performance. As a steam mop, this unit did and outstanding job on ceramic tile floors, including some difficult scuff marks, with a little work. We are very pleased, would recommend to our friends and have retired our Shark Steam Mop.
