I'm on my second one already. First one fell back from upright position and cracked the liquid container emptying out the water. It was 100% covered under warranty. The second one just leaks from bottom- not able to hold in water- constantly drips or just emptys out. Have not yet returned. But this is just crazy!! I did love it when not leaking- I have a regular vacuum without problems over 10 years from Hoover!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Efficient Cleaning Machine

Works great for our Terrazzo Tile floors. Phoenix is desert and deserts have dust. Also has softer cleaning pads designated for "delicate hardwood floors". Fill the water reservoir with distilled water and turn on the steam. Steam Mop heats up quickly. Can steam or vacuum alone or use both at once. We use both. We push the vacuum forward to pick up dust and dirt with the steam active so the steam pad doesn't contact un-vacuumed floors and cleans right behind the vacuum. Then we pull back to give a double steam. Continue for the rest of the floor. We have 1200 sq. ft. so we use one pad for half the house and switch pads for the other half. We put the pads in a sink for a light "hand wash" to loosen dirt before putting in the regular laundry with sheets and towels. Pads look almost like new each time. Makes everything shine and smells just clean, no scent, no chemicals used. Highly Recommend.

Works wonders on all my flooring, from the hardwood tobacco to the imported Italian porcelain. The steam lifts everything leaving such shine and fresh clean feeling especially when barefoot. Love this cleaner so much it's the 2nd I've purchased over the past 10 years. I will always use the Symphony steam mop.

This was a great purchase until it quit steaming, I have it for 3 years and for the last yr and half it has quit steaming off and on, now forever off, think the pump went out. No knocking, talked with repair, over $100+ to fix it. So the construction of this unit has a faulty filter system design, which btw I always used the proper water from Bissell in this unit. Throwing mine out. you know there is something wrong when you tube has a ton of video out there showing you how to unclog the ports with inside the unit. poorly designed!I would absolutely not recommend this product for purchase.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This has made cleaning my house SO much easier. I have run into a few minor issues with it but overall I am in love. So much nicer than sweeping and mopping! My tile floors look brand new after I clean them with the symphony! The three minor issues I've run into are: 1. We have pets and I've had to pull hair out of the bristles quite a few times when cleaning. Not a huge deal but one of the reasons I got this is I was sick of having to pull hair off the broom while sweeping. 2. You have to be careful with how you clean to avoid leaving hair/dirt lines. Not a huge deal, just took some figuring out. I now either vacuum first and go back to back/mop, or I clean in strips and go up/down the same strip and up/down the next. 3. The vacuum is actually so strong out the sides of it that if you don't angle it right, it will blow the hair away from you and under things.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I loved it when it worked

I absolutely loved my bissell steam and vac. I've had it 5 months and used it 2-3x a week. However, last week it stopped steaming. The vacuum works but the steam will not. I replaced the filter but it's still broke! Super bummed. Since it only lasted 5 months I'm leary To buy another if it doesn't last long.

Leaves a black mark on my baseboards

Poor design/material choice. While I like how this cleans, I'm not happy that the rubber top (that sits onto of the mop head) will rub and leave black marks along my baseboards. I called the company to ask if I am perhaps not installing the mop pad correctly but I was; I was told this is just a feature of this model. I'm going to look for another cleaning tool that doesn't require me to double back and clean my baseboards every time. Disappointed.

It's convenient and time-saving since I can vacuum and mop my floor at the same time. Haven't used it on the carpet yet so not sure about using it on carpet. Especially the steam function which is supposed to "refresh" instead of sanitize it.
