[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use the Symphony at least once a week for it's ease of use and steam cleaning tile floors. It has made a big difference on the tile floors in that they are far cleaner then regular mopping with different products. The steam cleaning has made a huge difference in the appearance of the flooring and I don't need to use two pieces of equipment to accomplish this as it vacuums while it cleans. I would think, however, that the Cross Wave would be better on tile that is not of a smooth surface. I debated between the two products and the Symphony meets my needs.

This is the best option I've found for cleaning hard floors with tons of pet hair. The vac is adequate to pick up most of the hair and dirt so that the steam mop can really clean behind it. I am thrilled with it! By the way, this is the first time I've bothered to write a review for a product.

Dose not clean up dirt from floors

Dose not clean floors but I do like how it vacuum and mops at same time! This product when I steam mop the floor after 1 day I do a white paper towel test and the towel still picks up the dirt it should be clean during the white towel test.

We appreciate your feedback. Your floors should be clean after using the Symphony. Let's check a few tips to make sure your machine is working properly. For maximum steam select "HI" on your machine. Make sure the dummy filter/filter still has the black gasket at the end of the port.
You may want to remove the foot off the machine and clean the spray port with a paperclip. Just ream the sides to clean. To prime your machine please hold the trigger two minutes. Set to "HI" again. Then try to spray steam.

I HAVE RECOMMENDED THE BISSELL SYMPHONY STEAM / VACUUM TO EVERYONE I KNOW. I HONESTLY BELIEVED THIS ITEM WAS THE BEST INVENTION AND DESIGNED HOUSEHOLD PRODUCT I'VE EVER OWNED. UNTIL... TONIGHT...I WAS SO EXCITED TO USE IT IN OUR KITCHEN. SIX CANS OF REGULAR SPRITE SODA ROLLED OUT OF THE 12 PACK, AND EXPLODED, SPEWING SUGARY SODA EVERYWHERE. I TOLD EVERYONE THE STORY, EXCLAIMING... "PRAISE GOD, I'VE GOT OUR BISSEL!" I ONLY USE DISTILLED WATER AND TAKE EXCELLENT CARE OF IT. WHEN I STARTED IT, THE STEAM AND VACUUM LASTED ABOUT 1/2 MINUTES, THEN THE VACUUM STOPPED, AND THE MOTOR BEGAN SMOKING! I HURRIEDLY UNPLUGGED IT AND I AM SO VERY SAD AND DISAPPOINTED. IT WAS UNDER WARRANTY TILL 6 JUN 2017. THIS IS 9 JULY 2017! HOW COULD THE MOTOR JUST CEASE UP AND BEGIN TO PROFUSELY SMOKE?

We're sorry to hear this happened, Carolyn! Was any of the soda vacuumed up by the machine? The vacuum on this mop is a dry vacuum so if liquids are vacuumed it could be suctioned into the motor causing the damage you described. We see a replacement machine has been sent so if you have any issues please let us know!
