Really Steams Up Dirt!

Excellent little all-in-one. Vacuum is great as you steam up the hard dirt spills in the Kitchen. This got rid of old stains that the regular mopping had not been able to get up. And being able to Vacuum up the pet hair before you mop without having to stop and get a broom is a real time saver. I'm so very glad you included 4 mop heads with the unit and that they snap on and off in a second. My son was so intrigued by the steam that he had done 90% of the floor before he had realized. I finished the rest. Now we just have to find out how many washings the mop heads will take and how to order more.

The ONLY positive to this thing is the vacuum part. The rest of it is absolutely useless,my floor were still dirty and the "steam" was barely even there!! Not happy with it at all

Thank you for your review. With little steam coming out, please take a look at some troubleshooting steps we have to get more steam to spray out. Make sure the setting is on "HI" to promote more steam to spray. The filter or dummy filter should have a black gasket on the end of the port. Also, please make sure the filter, hoses, and filters are in place properly. There shouldn't be any gaps. We recommend taking the foot off, remove the foot tray and pad. Take a paper clip and ream the sides of the spray port to ensure there isn't anything clogging preventing the steam to come out.

Lasted a couple months.........

The general idea is amazing, however mine only worked about 2 months and the steamer quit functioning. I went online to send a complaint and the everytime I filled in the form it said my email was incompatible . I loved it when it worked, but if it is only going to work a couple months, I cannot give a good review. Thankfully my Shark was still tucked away in the closet, and it has yet to let me down.

Thanks for your posting. We have some easy tips to get your Symphony to steam. Distilled water works best. Just make sure not to use any vinegar or chemicals in your Symphony. The machine will be ready to spray steam within 30 seconds. Make sure you're holding the trigger two minutes to prime your machine. Remove the cartridge to check for any damage. The black gasket should be on the outside of one of the ports. Firmly push the filter back into the machine. If you remove the foot by pulling off. With the foot off the machine, remove the tray and pad. ream the steam tip on the foot as well as the foot tray with a paperclip. Love the product, but overpriced for life of unit

Purchase this unit and was very happy with it. Despite not having pets, we have 3 young children and it was great for our vinyl plank flooring. However, the trigger piece broke after just over a year of use and the unit stopped producing steam (but did warm up). I was able to find the part on line. It was NOT easily accessible, but I was able to replace it and its working again. If the Symphony relies on a piece that easily breaks, it should not be priced so high or the part needs to accessible to repair. I almost thew out the unit, but a simple fix and we are back to using it. Not sure how long it will last, but worth the $5 fix. Bissel needs to give better access to this part, as it seems to be a common point of failure. For the price, these should not be disposable goods. I would recommend, but with a warning on product life.
