horrible smell!!

I purchased this about 2 months ago, and loved it after first use. However, after first use it exudes a horrible odor. I change pass after every use and clean filter also but have been unable to get rid of smell. It's a huge disappointment and if I could take it back I definitely would!

Have you added anything to the water tank aside from distilled water? The unit should not have any sort of odor but if any chemicals, formulas, or other agents are being used it could cause an odor. Give us a call and we'd be happy to investigate! http://www.bissell.com/contact-us/?cid=ccsocial2107

I have purchased 2 Bissell Symphony cleaners in the last month or so due to the first one started leaking out the bottom as soon as I put water in the tank. This is only after a few uses. I purchased a second one shortly after and only after 2 uses it started doing the same thing. I do love the ease of the mopping but after trying 2 and having the same issue, I will be looking for a different product to purchase.

Thank you for the feedback! Check the water filter located on the lower left hand side. If this is misaligned it could cause water to leak out. Also make sure you are only using distilled water in this unit. Using any chemicals or formulas could cause it to leak and not steam.

Had a roomba for 4 years that worked great on our hard wood but I still had to mop. We then got two Corgis and the shedding rendered roomba's sweeping abilities useless. I purchased the symphony and now I get the 'sweeping' roomba used to do and the 'mopping' I would have done anyway, done at the same time. I also can vacuum the rugs and stairs with ease by simply removing the pad tray. We are buying one for my mother this Christmas. If you have hard floors you should also have a Symphony !!!

I love this little machine. I especially like the vacuum feature. It cleans my floors and leaves them spotless and shiny. It was very easy to use. I no longer use anything else on my floors. as you mop the vacuum picks up anything you missed when you swept your floor, which I really like. I would very much recommend this product, you will like it .

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Within few months of using this maybe 2 times a weeks it started to leak water. I've sent the vacuum to the place they recommended and haven't heard anything until I called them. I just wish I'd picked a different model
