Collapses to a fault...and too heavy

The construction of this backpack is somewhat disappointing. I don't like how it looks unstructured most of the time. It also collapses (to a fault) into itself from the top. It does hold my large water bottle which is a plus. But overall it is too heavy to use everyday. Darn, I wish I would have purchased a smaller/lighter Tumi instead. I wish it came with a strap to connect the two straps horizontally across my chest (or a Tumi option that I could purchase).

Great backpack!

I recently purchased this backpack as a gift to myself where I was seeking something more professionally minded, with an opportunity for personalization.
I tried briefcases and never found they could provide the functional benefits, ie too narrow, couldn’t fit my lunch, jacket, umbrella, books, tablet, etc., and the single strap made for uncomfortable weight distribution, especially when having to walk longer distances.
On the flip side, as a seasoned professional seeking to reinforce that image, I didn’t want to use an older backpack from my days in college.
Functionally, I wouldn’t change anything about this backpack.
In terms of areas for improvement—
I wish Tumi included a strap to go across the chest to assist with weight distribution.
The top pocket (where my initial name plate is…) is unstructured and when the tissue paper / filler is removed, it collapses and aesthetically, looks awkward.

Great travel bag

I love this bag. Overall the style is perfect for me. Drawbacks: the top pocket can’t hold its shape, there isn’t much gap between the bottom of the laptop sleeve and the bottom of the bag. If that upper pocket were reinforced this would be perfect for me.

Love it - work and travel superstar

Awesome backpack. Holds pretty much everything I need for work and for travel and it's all super convenient to access. Especially love the little magnetic pocket for my phone and passport near the handle. Also perfect size for my water bottle. Of course it's also stylish, but you expect that from Tumi.

Bought this for my husband for Christmas. He Loves it !! He had been searching for a new backpack to use when we travel because his old one was literally coming apart. This one has great pocket organization, the side pockets hold a 20oz bottle with plenty of room to spare, its roomy on the inside and fits a larger laptop with ease. The straps are padded and comfortable.
