Doesn't make a squeaky sound when opening it. I used to have a thermal flask that would squeak every time i opened it in class, it was annoying. I'm glad i i switched to this takeya.

I bought this water bottle for three of my kids(ages 8, 7&5). They take it to school with them, and they also use it at home, so it’s being used all day. It keeps the water super cold(the way my kids like their water). It’s definitely a must have! I’m so happy I found a water bottle that works for my kids.

I tend to chug a lot of water at a time so I didn’t think I would keep a bottle with me for dipping but I do with this. And I like the amount of water the spout delivers to my mouth. It’s good for chugging when I need to.
I bring it around everywhere, even work and when doing groceries. I do take it to the gym, but the problem is that since it’s 32 oz, it holds a lot of water and gets pretty heavy, so it’s hard to keep lifting it when I’m on a cardio machine. I won’t take points off because I chose to get a big bottle with the regular lid, but a straw lid would work better because I won’t have to tip it. I usually hold the bottle with two hands because it’s heavy and it’s hard to do that when I’m working out.
Also because of the rubber bumper, it doesn’t fit into my favorite cardio machine’s drink holder. I take it off when I use it though. I do love the rubber bumper which keeps it from getting damaged.
Overall, I love the bottle, but I’m considering getting a smaller one with a straw lid for the gym because I need something lighter and more accessible while I’m on the cardio machines.
Another caveat is that it doesn’t fit into my car’s cup holders even when I take off the bumper so I have to place it somewhere else. I’m not taking points off for that since I knew I was getting a large bottle, but it’s good to know when deciding what size you want.
