Wok doesn't fit my gas cooktop

I have the KCGS356ESS cooktop and tried to find a wok ring. Every KitchenAid dealer and parts company recommend Part # W10216179. It won't fit! Would love an explanation!

I have a kitchenaid range with a 15000 btu burner and a 2 piece connected cast iron grill. When the fire is set at high, it will just touch the grill. And with this ring installed on top of the grill, there will be NO contact of the fire to the wok. For a wok to work the way it is designed to work, the fire has to go up at least 1/3 of the side of the wok. You are better off cooking your meal with a flat bottom cast iron pan to maximize the heat for your cooking. I do not own the product, but I am looking a wok ring that will work with my kitchenaid range and stumbled upon this product. May be if your range have higher power than mine, it may work for you.
