Almost Beautiful

I specifically bought it because it's real wood, and was expecting and embracing variations and imperfections, but proper care was not taken on the finish so some boards have blotches so yellow they look like they were colored in by a highlighting pen. I'm not exaggerating, it's really that yellow. If those areas were fewer, smaller, or in more inconspicuous areas they would fall under reasonable for the price, but unfortunately they really mar the look of the table. I'm not sure if I had poor luck, or if their process has changed from the time of the rave reviews, but I'd be hard pressed to recommend anyone buy this unless they want to take on a refinishing project, paint it, like yellow splotchy wood, or will have it in a very poorly lit area

Perfect!

Just got the table in today, and we had it in place within an hour! It was packed really well and the legs were super easy to put on. It's a tad lighter than it looked on my screen, but I still really love it. It's big, so plenty of storage available under the lift top!

The table arrived quickly and was so easy to assemble (just put the legs on, and you're good to go)! It fits perfectly with our sectional sofa and w use the lift-top all the time. Can't recommend enough!

Great price and Good Quality with Slight Defects

The Hunter Coffee Table is a slick design Lift-Up Coffee table. It is a much better price point compared to the West Elm table, and the wood used to create this specific Hunter Coffee table is identical to the West Elm Coffee Table. However, the table top comes slightly bent, and there are very slight dents on the underside of the table. These cosmetic level defects are not deal breakers, but definitely doe snot make the table perfect.

Perfect coffee table

My fiance and I just moved in together and bought this coffee table for eating dinner together in our living room. We really couldn't be happier with it! I researched several brands and prices and am so glad I went with this solid wood table. It feels very sturdy and well built. The hardware opens and closes easily and smoothly and we haven't had any problems with an overly strong magnet like other reviewers have mentioned. One thing to note is that it does only open to one level but it is a perfect table height while you are sitting on the couch and the hardware allows you to open and close it partially if you just need to grab something from inside. Installation involved only screwing the legs on which took around 10 minutes. The wood grain and modern style look great in our living room and I think the size is great, not too big, not too small. We are comfortable with 2 people eating but recently were able to fit a third friend. Overall I think we'll be loving this table for years to come.
