Still waiting ...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My cooktop arrived broken. Something in the computer brain must be wrong, because the buttons didn't do what they're supposed to. The authorized supplier sent an authorized guy to fix it, and I'm sure it'll be good once it's fixed. But broken right out of the box? That's very un-Bosch like and I'm really annoyed. It is not only frustrating, it ruined my first dinner party. I couldn't even hook up to the app because the instructions didn't work - since the buttons don't react correctly when pressed. And, you do not have any decent instructions, written or video, in your manual or online. Since there are some tricks to using this cooktop, that's a real problem.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My Beeping Bosh!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Bosh 800 induction cooktop is 10 years old. After a few years, every once in a while, it would start beeping when turned on. We would just reset it by turning off the electrical breaker in the house main breaker panne. Last week it began beeping and flashing all light constantly. Resetting did not stop the lights and beeping. I searched the internet for solutions and have tried a few but to no avail. It likely needs a new motherboard. However, the cost of the repair is not worth the investment. I really thought that a solid state electrical appliance with no moving parts, that has has little to no heat while in use would have lasted much longer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Just the right Cooktop

After research about what would fit into the old space, we settled on this model and couldn't be more pleased. The controls are simple to use and the actual cooking quality is as promised.

Like it but some induction pans don't work on it

Advanced but quirky

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been pleased with the Bosch cooktop. I am still learning some of the many features; but I love its flexibility and efficiency. One thing that has come up repeatedly is how easy the unit turns on. The interface is very sensitive to touch, and this often results in unwanted engagement.
