Love my gas cooktop!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Gas cooktop was easy to install. We love the large burner as it gets a big pot of water quickly boiling. It does not look cheap but looks very well made. I love the OptiSim burner for melting chocolate and cooking delicate sauces. The flame select is very convenient. I love that the grates are dishwasher safe. All burners go super low which is very convenient. I would highly recommend this cooktop. To clean under the knobs, I take all the way off. It would be good if it slightly lifted to allow for a good cleaning when needed.

Range is nice but could be better

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this range to match all the benchmark products in my kitchen. It looks nice but the grates are not as heavy as my old whirlpool grates so I'm concerned about their durability. I guess time will tell on this. The actual range itself scratches extremely easily so that is a problem. I don't know why they made this out of such a weak metal. As much as the range costs, they should have used better materials.
The range cooks well overall so that is a plus.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This cooktop is awesome! I chose this over one with the controls on the front as we have a two year old granddaughter and she pushes and pulls everything. With some arthritis in my hands, I didn't want to have to rely on the large, sometimes hard for an adult to use, baby guards for the controls, and I'm glad I did. That said, the center burner is the bomb! It's so sensitive, I've had to adjust how I even scramble eggs (4 works best, my old stove top was 'high') and there's more than enough room to use two or three pots, depending on the size. If I had to criticize anything, I would say there are two things that could use improvement. One would be the configuration of the simmer burner. The lower left is just not a good spot for that. I cook every single day but it's a rare occurance that I melt chocolate or need that low of a burner setting for anything. Moving that burner to the back left would have been a much better idea than having it in the front making it pretty useless for day to day cooking. The other criticism I have is that the stainless top is so very soft, it scratches like nobody's business. It's terrible! I've had it now two weeks and it's already scratched. My beautiful cooktop :( You only have to breathe on it to scratch it. I use a microfiber cloth and a citrus cleaner in a spray bottle and it doesn't matter. So it looks like I've had it for years. Extremely disappointed in that. Beyond that, it's so easy to use, easy to clean and overall, a good choice.
