You either use it or hang it up or lay it on the ground if you need to stop for a minute. The suction is okay. For what I purchased it for which was picking up kitty litter, it works great. Love the sweeping side brushes. They push the small particles into the rotating brush area.

Or so I though because when The Bissell PowerEdge Cordless Vacuum arrived I past it on the living room and OMG! So much cat hair come out of the carpet! That I had just vacuum the previous day. Is easy to clean up, very lightweight. I'm very impressed

And no more tangled hair on the brush roll! All the filters are washable, which is wonderful & saves me money! Great vacuum for the price.

It gets into all the little areas that are usually tough to reach. It picks up amazing and it's a godsend at removing dog hair!! I use this daily. I also love the convenience of the charging dock and being able to hang it on the wall allowing more room for storage! This is a total hit!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a fairly spacious 2 bedroom apartment outside of NYC with 3 kids 6 and under with a combination of carpet and hardwood floors, with tile in the kitchen and bathrooms. This vacuum has been a life saver for quickly working throughout my apartment around the furniture and toys to clean up when I get the chance! The attachments make it easy to get behind my plants and tv stand and various tight corners around the apartment. It's easy to dump out and clean as well which makes for a quick job all around. I love that it's cordless and the charge holds great for a long time for my to finish and even work the stairs as we have a loft style apartment. It's not too heavy and I feel it does a adequate job getting deep in the carpets to get the ever accumulating dust and crumbs from our big family! Overall it has great features and works well for our family.
