performs fine, miss mechanical controls

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to replace a 49-year-old GE that still worked well but was becoming very hard to find parts and service for. I wanted a white finish so it wouldn't look out of place in my 49-year-old kitchen, which restricted my options. The Frigidaire is fine and has a few bells and whistles the GE didn't have, but the touch-screen controls for bake options and light can take a few tries to activate. I'm used to the positive feel and control that mechanical controllers offer. I also wonder about the additional level of complexity that a touch screen has over simple dial controllers, and if it'll last 49 years like the previous oven. But apparently it's not 1974 anymore.

Excellent In Every Way!

It's beautiful to look at, is of quality construction, was very easy to install (came with excellent instructions), and the digital operating pad is intuitive and very simple to use. Both ovens work really well and are easy to clean. We could not be more pleased.

Only one flaw

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The electronic control panel seems to have additional unnecessary steps. Like seconds on the timer. Ok for other things but never for baking. And shutting off the oven should not take more than one click. I guess I’ll get used to it. But it just seems overly fussy.

27” Double Oven

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 27” ovens are a rare commodity, these days. I needed one, it was available, at a decent price. It does the job, with good features like convection in both ovens. It’s easy to use. One feature missing is a heavy duty roll out rack. Had I known that I would have kept that part from my old oven. More importantly, you will need to test the temperature of your oven to calibrate it. Mine was off by 25° in both ovens. I tried to find the contact information for telephone help, but good luck with that. In the directions,, it matter of factly indicates that is no big deal and tells you to calibrate your oven - which is fairly easy to do.
