Purchased recently as a replacement for a similar Electrolux model that was 11 years old.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We were unable to have the upper oven section of the old oven repaired, supposedly due to lack of parts availability. We were then unable to find an Electrolux replacement in our area, so we opted for the similarly sized and Frigidaire Gallery model to avoid replacing the cabinet in our newly remodeled kitchen. We’ve been through a couple of large meals and so far the oven has performed well.
The control panel is easy to use, and quickly understood by the first time user.
Although we did not base our purchase on price, we believe the price-point of the unit, based on both aesthetics and function, to be a good value.

ADDITIONAL OBSERVATIONS:
In comparing our previous Electrolux oven to the Frigidaire oven, we noticed that it takes slightly longer to cook in the Frigidaire Gallery oven. This appears to be due in part to the lack of a rapid preheat function and quicker drop in interior temperature after the oven door is opened to check food.

Finally, this may be a function of were most manufacturers have been going for years, but we also noticed is the Frigidaire Gallery unit, in compared to our previous Electrolux double oven, that the doors, as well as the overall unit are lighter, the racks are of lighter gauge construction and the exposed corners of the doors and control panel (although very clean and tight) are no longer seamless welded.

Disappointing Functionality

I want to be excited about this double oven but I am not. I am an avid baker and had my previous oven for 31 years. This oven does not maintain the temperature. I went through 3 brand new ovens thinking it was a malfunction, had a tech come out and settled for the Gallery version hoping for better quality. Still disappointed. Can someone please explain if the functionality of this oven is normal. It reaches temperature, you put in the food in and it continually loses temperature. I have to reenter the setting several times before it begins to regain the desired temperature. Its the most frustrating thing, especially when baking bread when the temp needs to be 400 or 475.
